Obama’s choice to nominate Garland for SCOTUS is only more reprehensible in hindsight. At the time, Garland was considered to be overly prosecution-friendly, bad on criminal justice issues. Seems clear now that he was totally OK with covering up crimes, so long as the perps were elites.
