This is what people mean by media distortion. The reason Starmer didn't quit is because the party came together behind him; they have no desire for a GE at this point and they believe that the source of toxicity in Labour has gone with Morgan. None of this evident in this synopsis.

I think we have to conclude that Farage's handing of the candidacy to Goodwin out of all of the people who paid him (Farage) to be considered as candidates is an attempt to take Goodwin out of the running to take over Reform.
