For ten years now we've been letting the Immigration Derangement Syndrome of a minority drag our country down. Immigration is down from the Boris Johnson government they approved of. Bloody mentalists.

This is what people mean by media distortion. The reason Starmer didn't quit is because the party came together behind him; they have no desire for a GE at this point and they believe that the source of toxicity in Labour has gone with Morgan. None of this evident in this synopsis.

I thought for a moment that this tweet was about Streeting.
Before taking another person's shoe, remember you inherit not just their path, but stones they never spoke about. Worn parts show struggles, but the deepest dents are from moments no one saw. Wes takes shoes not for wisdom, but for the comfort of a loved one. One of the greatest possible tresures.

(1/4) Turning inward to a leadership contest now would be both wrong and counterproductive when there is still so much vital work ahead. Our focus should remain on delivering the change voters asked for, not distracting ourselves from it.

Reform UK have thrown the printers and Mrs Clegg under the bus.

If you’re thinking of contacting her, don’t, that’s just weird.

The story of the past decade has been the fracturing of the right.

For reasons that are beyond me instead of just saying "great, let's win elections and govern well in broadly centre-left ways" some in Labour have instead gone - let's get involved with culture wars and fracture ourselves too.

Starmer (and Reeves) have made several poor policy decisions eg NICs, SL threshold freeze and ludicrous expansion of airports BUT he has shown courage with VAT on private schools. He seems like a decent guy & not a politician. Compared to antics of Boris & Farage etc, Starmer is a king! #r4today

I’m not a fan of Starmer but why did Sky News invite Jenrick to their studio to discuss whether or not Starmer should remain as PM? A man who is morally bankrupt and denigrates the Tories simply because he has ditched them for Reform. Yet again Reform gaining more air time to peddle their nonsense

I'm by no means a fan of Starmer, but I find it troubling that he has been subjected to more scrutiny than Farage, if we're talking about associations with those named in the files.

Ideally, they would both face the same amount of accountability and standards. And that, folks, is the big problem.

This is every city, every town, every urban centre, every single time car traffic is restricted. It is always a net social and economic benefit. There are no credibly documented exceptions.

Seriously, there are people on here who think a numerical reduction in immigration will reduce Farage’s appeal.

Immigration *never* caused the harms Farage ascribed to it. It was all a xenophobic lie. The actual numbers never mattered.

Here's what I say to those who feel that we can't operate a winning electoral strategy without McSweeney: If McSweeney kept his approach and thinking secret, then he wasn't a team player and is unreasonably being eulogised for winning in 2024*. Any team player would have shared the method.

I think we have to conclude that Farage's handing of the candidacy to Goodwin out of all of the people who paid him (Farage) to be considered as candidates is an attempt to take Goodwin out of the running to take over Reform.

Pretty convinced that the reason that MsSweeney wants Starmer and himself tonhang on is so that more of the nay-sayers resign, leaving only McSweeney supporters in the party.

Please don't resign, anyone. Well, apart from you, Morgan.

I lived in South Africa from the early 90's until just before the millennium. It was an interesting, which is why I took the job there, and the highlight was probably seeing the first election, with all the first-time voters dressed in their Sunday best, standing in queues five km long to vote.

There doesn't need to be any infighting in Labour over whether or not Burnham were to be allowed to apply to be a candidate for G&D. The NEC could simply allow him. Bingo, no infighting.
