The sad part is this honestly makes LAs look better since the bus lanes are very conditional & are minimally visible. At least enforcement is ramping up with on bus cameras
Crazy that RTC in Vegas & Pace have the 2nd and 3rd most miles of exclusive bus lanes; also really pathetic that Chicago only has 4 miles of 24/7 bus lanes, less than Waukesha!

In most of the world, grocery is a very competitive sector. Rather than reëstablish the East German Handelsorganisation and Konsum, maybe it would be better to examine the barriers that make large grocers reluctant to set up shop in most of NYC when they do so in other cities.

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.

Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control
The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

this is really really bad & sad for a state with what were really good state schools
Florida schools and colleges have become a testing ground for conservative policies meant to limit or expunge what Republicans describe as “woke” indoctrination. Rather than trying to regulate what a professor can say, the new strategy aims to remove entire courses.
Florida Tries a Subtler Way to Curb Progressive Ideology: Cut Sociology
Conservatives in Florida have moved from explosive politics to subtler tactics to uproot liberal “indoctrination” in higher education by removing subjects like sociology from core requirements.

theres no way these people aren’t profoundly sad, i know i’m just an urbanist but even living in pretty active suburbs makes me much less active, much less happy
This is my personal nightmare. Exurbs are the real Hitlervilles. Montgomery County TX is one of the biggest exurban counties in the country and it gave Trump 72% of the vote. It's not even trending left lmao
