Starting tomorrow, the Trump administration is set to send notices to 1,000 student loan borrowers (first round) noticing them of an intent to garnish their wages for student loan debt.
This is cruel and unnecessary.

Yearly reminder that you CAN just become a different person, you're not as imprisoned in your life as you think. You can just be the one who dresses nice or exercises or reads a lot, or whatever. You can just start doing it, some people might make fun of you but they don't really care.

I wouldn’t say *no one else* knows about it, but it’s weirdly obscure given how great it is. It *should* be in the pantheon of Christmas classics alongside “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Maybe it’s more popular in Europe, but in the U.S. few people seem to even know about it. 🧵

It is the time of the year when I remind everyone that a new years resolution is harmful because it is a binary fail state. You usually break them because you don't have steps to work towards it.
A 'New year's direction' is far healthier as every step towards it is to be celebrated.
