Last night I went out to the Greenwood Art walk. My friend was showing two pieces as part of a Pink themed show. She's so talented, and it made me so proud to get to see them. I also bought some prints from other artists!

Much of my youth revolved around the website ZineLibrary. It went down around Occupy in a massive loss for a movement whose ideas and knowledge mostly doesn't circulate online but in person.

Anyway I've put it back online with a *thousand* anarchist zines:

I have been experimenting with drinking black coffee rather than cutting it with some milk/half n half. I think I like it black. Or I've just become my scandi grandma.

I have a friend who has been apprenticing as a goat farmer. Tonight she sent me a pic of a mama and her kids. Thought everyone else needed some joy

We’re all trying to do something for our neighbors in need here in Minnesota. My wife and I want to raise money to get diapers to families who need them.
Never run a GoFundMe before. Please help if you can.

A lot of this shit is getting to me. I had a nightmare about being thrown into a prison camp, and I haven't been able to shake the residual feelings.

I’m going to win the war on protein. I eat nothing but beef tallow dipped in pork fat rolled inside a chicken stuffed in a duck. My family doesn’t talk to me anymore. I smell like a used wig from the 1700s.

It's all small potatoes, but between the nasty ingrown hair on my hip, my back injury, and the hormonal breakout on my chin, I've been feeling like a bridge troll. It will pass

The Seattle Art Museum just sent my company their new poster, and I'm so afraid they're gonna be stolen out of our displays. Look at that ASS??

We have SIX DAYS to get this out of the Washington State Senate. NEXT TUESDAY is the legislative deadline to get bills out their house of origin.

If it doesn't pass by then, it likely dies till 2027.

Since farmworkers were written out of labor laws in 1937, we have to win at the state level.
SB6045, a bill to allow farmworker collective bargaining in WA state, will soon be voted on in WAs Senate. This bill is critical for WA farm workers like those at Windmill mushroom who have been fighting to get a contract since 2022. Take action today: act.seiu.org/a/waorganizi...

Lotta jokes about Kid Rock makes music for people who steal catalytic converters but like

Not in my experience. Those guys listen to ICP & Tech9. Kid Rock is for guys who work normal jobs but inexplicably dress like they steal catalytic converters

Surya Bonaly is a multi Olympian, world medalist, euros champion, and French national champion, and did it all during a time when #figureskating wasn’t exactly the friendliest to its skaters of color.

But sure, let’s reduce her to fake news about her doing a (really awesome) one footed backflip.

Next time somebody tries to get me to justify the existence of the humanities, I’ll just point out how for the past two Super Bowls we’ve all jumped online and engaged in collective semiotics and hermeneutics of the half-time show as text.

They did this over Capitol Hill here in Seattle while CHOP was present, the summer of 2020. To thos day, I fucking hate the sound of helicopters or circling planes. It fills me with so much dread.
They call it “persistent presence” and it’s a technique of war they have used in other parts of the world, notoriously in Somalia, which gives a new dimension to the cruelty of doing this to cities full of Somali refugees

In some cases they’re literally using the same Black Hawks even
You may ask yourself why helicopters fly over the Twin Cities so much and my best guess is it is to fuck with people.

The @margaret.bsky.social episodes about the Paris Commune had some interesting tide bits. In 1871 the streets were narrow and easy to blockade. When Paris was rebuilt, they made super wide streets so the people couldn't do that again. But then, the Nazis came and rolled right through. 1/
New must-read article on the emergence of “filter blockades,” in the Twin Cities, including a how-to guide and brief history.
