Book says the peopling of the British isles genetically is mainly Mesolithic/neolithic indigenes originally from Iberia, rather than Bronze Age central european Celts or medieval Germans. Food for thought.
I have procured an audiobook about genetic history for $2, published in 2006. Hoping I don’t misinform myself.

Watched BBC’s King & Conqueror. Well dramatized imo. I never knew Halley’s Comet showed in 1066. This does change my mind about the conquest as clearly it was divinely ordained. Still feel bad for the Saxons though.

I wouldn’t read too much into the Miami election. It’s an odd electorate, the politics are very local and Higgins was a shoo-in. Note also this is the city, not Dade
