I signed up to lift at a nonprofit deadlifting competition on November 1st, with a goal of $300 raised for the Delores Project, Rainbow Dome, and Strength For All Bodies.
I've been out of consistent gym sessions for 3 months, but my goal is to get above BW.

Fundraising is stay up for a couple more weeks, event looked like a lot of fun from the social media posts and hopefully I won't have COVID next time they do a deadlift meet.
Community centers are so important to keep alive, and the Rainbow Dome is one that's helped me out this year.

Alice Wong was one of the most effective people challenging the Whiteness of disability communities and its many flaws, but who believed fiercely in us as a community, in disabled people as oracles.
Alice brought so much to so many of us, it’s hard to measure the kind of gratitude I have for that.

Losing Alice feels like the ground shifting beneath us—I'm devastated—but to have known & shared even part of this life with her was an honor. She was one of the most fearless, generous & visionary disability activists. It’s impossible to measure how much she shifted the world—I feel it everywhere.
