1. One of the most anti-trans attorneys general in the United States, Andrew Bailey, has been appointed as Co-deputy director of the FBI.

He used his power to reign terror on trans people in Missouri. Now he joins an agency doing the same nationally.

Andrew Bailey, in line to replace Patel, is a white nationalist firebrand whose name you might recognize as in '23 as Missouri AG, he tried to unilaterally ban trans health care for adults & children, sought kids' private medical records, and tried to get local police to physically enforce his law.
MS NOW EXCLUSIVE: “President Trump is considering removing Kash Patel as FBI director in the coming months, as he and his top aides have grown increasingly frustrated by the unflattering headlines Patel has recently generated.”

Old daddy issues over here really shit the bed at this presser and not one reporter pushed back on any of it or continued asking for clarification. The media is failing us.
Q: The president has accused the other side of encouraging political violence. Isn't that exactly what the president is doing when he says members of Congress should be killed?

LEAVITT: Why aren't you talking about what these members of Congress are doing to encourage and incite violence?

A lot of people didn’t like the Washington Post journalist who was tortured and dismembered with a bone saw for writing critically about the man sitting next to me
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

I spent October traveling to schools throughout the South talking to students about American history. What I found were young people who understand we can tell a story that includes both the positive and the negative. As one 8th grader in Memphis said, “Doesn’t seem that hard, just say both things.”

The amazing thing about this is that in the past Fox has led multi-day freakouts over people offering tips like this. Specifically, I remember them losing their minds over a HuffPost blog about reducing travel during Thanksgiving.
Fox guest on how to save money during the holidays:

"Remember, adults don't need gifts. Focus on the people in your life who are aged 3 to 18. Grandma doesn't need slippers. If they don't live by you, don't get them a gift."

Remember when people had the thought "oh Andrew Bailey is gone so things will be less insane"? Welp.
In providing an example of why "corrective redistricting" should be preserved, MO's solicitor general wrote the current congressional map contains a potentially unconstitutional district if the Supreme Court knocks down Sec.2 of the VRA.

But the new map's 1st District is... basically the same:
Missouri AG argues St. Louis congressional district is an unconstitutional racial gerrymander
The court filing also may signal the end of a decades-long alliance between Black Democrats and Republicans on how the St. Louis-area district has been drawn.
