Bravo, Portugal. ✊

Joining France, UK, Canada & Australia who, in turn, now join about 75% of the UN's 193 member states which recognise Palestine.

It's overwhelming. Now *DO SOMETHING* to protect this country we all recognise.
Portugal says it will recognise Palestinian state
A host of countries, including France and the UK, are expected to do the same when world leaders gather at the UN General Assembly next week.

He - and several other Al Jazeera journalists - have just been assassinated by Israelis forces whilst in their press tent in central Gaza.

Reminder: In Putin's view, the "root causes of the crisis" are Ukrainian independence, sovereignty and self-determination.

Second Reminder: The actual root cause of the crisis is Putin.
NEW: At a press conference in Moscow, President Putin says Russia is in favour of a 30 day ceasefire.

But he says Russia has several outstanding issues, including (in his view) that Ukraine could use the time to rearm.

He says any ceasefire must “eliminate the root causes of the crisis”.

I still believe (without data or thinking about it very hard) that the best moment in the campaign was when Walz called Trump, Vance and Musk wierdos and they lost their minds.

Ofcourse the Democrats, being Demorats, instead of leaning into it wrote 500 op-eds about how it was too mean.
Walz: I own this. We wouldn’t be in this mess if we'd have won the election and we didn't. We have to make sure that Americans know it's not just that Donald Trump is bad, but we're offering them something better

The US stock market slump likely has only a little to do with the actual impact of the tariffs imposed to-date.

Instead, it's the market's assessment that the people in charge don't do their homework, don't consider consequences, can't implement, but refuse to let any of that slow them down.
