Hi everyone, I'm Manuel Correia. I've been designing videogames and boardgames for the last 14 years.

These are some of my favorite projects so far. Have you played any?
This! Finishing games takes different skills than starting games. It requires prioritization and making hard choices.

It teaches you to let go.
Ive been talking about this a lot over the last couple of years, specifically with respect to public funding for games.

Finishing games is how people make better games. Length doesnt matter. Our entire industry encourages people however to get trapped making enormous endless work they never finish
Also, @mammonmachine.bsky.social has a great write up on making a short story/novella length VN in a "short" period that I like to send to beginner game writers/narrative designers.

If you'd like to discover more interesting Japanese vocals, check out the movie Paprika!
Here's a bit of the intro that is so perfectly directed that it never fails to give me goosebumps.

That art direction looks so good! A lot more faithful to the original manga than the previous adaptations. I wonder if the tone will be as goofy.
First teaser for "The Ghost In The Shell" anime series by Science Saru studio.
Directed by Mokochan (+ Shuhei Handa on character designs & animation).
Coming in July.

If you are the kind of cool, sexy gamer that enjoys a print-and-play game www.pnparcade.com is shutting down tomorrow!

So, now is the time to secure all your purchased games and/or buy those games you've been looking at for a while!

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.

Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

It's amazing how well this title theme conveys that you're about to explore a mysterious alien planet, without saying a single word.

I think we’ve got better and more culturally-varied street food than I could have imagined, cool jackets galore, and drugs that make us think we’re really fast and strong before they kill us.
we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

Ash is delightful and offers an important perspective. Get her before your competitor does!
Breaks my heart to share this, but today is my last day at The Verge and I am looking for work! I'd really like to stay in video games, preferably in some kind of journalistic capacity but I can do PR/Marketing and maybe even a lil Narrative Design. Please get in touch!

Same with board game designers.
Please, never be shy telling an author you loved their books.

It’s seriously what gets us through.

How hard is it to make a good detective video game? The story behind the excellent The Seance of Blake Manor, whose developers were changing integral parts of the design six months before release, might help answer that question.
