Just a friendly reminder that Channel 7's Sunrise helped resurrect Pauline Hanson's career. In 2016, Hanson was paid to appear on Sunrise at least 16 times. She then successfully re-entered politics in the federal election that year, resurrecting the One Nation party. Thanks Kochie and Sam!

No saving the Coalition – and that should be a warning to Labor
Labor is trying to present itself as the adult in the room, by pointing to the opposition's tantrums. That’s not governing, it’s babysitting.

I see the “technically it’s ephebophelia” crowd is out today, so just a reminder that A) this is NOT a case where technically correct is the best kind of correct and B) the minute you say this, the gods dump you in the “irredeemable creeper” basket and wash their hands thoroughly after touching you.

Allow me to overgeneralise for a minute. Men have threatened women with being replaced by sex robots for decades. Yet, the same men won't stop bitching about the twin "crises" of male loneliness and declining birthrates- situations apparently caused by women replacing men with peace and quiet.

There's a very understandable instinct for people to speak about 2016 with the same tone as "everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked" but nothing gets better until we reckon with how this is all a continuation, not a real aberration.

Being a leftist is great because a bunch of people who agree with 75% of the things you say are so obsessed and invested in the status quo that they'll sede ground to people they think are only 25% justified. And then they'll blame us for not being able to shift the needle.
