basically we have to assume fetterman defects in 27-28 if there is any way whatsoever it gains him power. he's also really fucking stupid so I think he will also defect if it loses him power
Here's John Fetterman complaining on CNN about how mean Bluesky is to him -- and how the far-left is way more "poisonous" than the far-right.

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

Chuck Schumer is claiming that he’s voting no, while letting other Senators (Fetterman, Kaine, King, etc) do HIS dirty work.

He must be removed from his leadership & primaried for the sake of this country

He likes beer
Brett Kavanaugh's behavior during today's second oral arguments has been incredibly obnoxious and rude. He is so eager to kill a service member's lawsuit against a negligent government contractor that he keeps interrupting other justices, raising his voice, and getting emotional. Weird and erratic.

JD Vance has no actual self at all. There's nothing in his life he wouldn't trade for another ounce of power.
JD Vance says he’s raising his kids Christian and hopes his wife, Usha, comes around to the faith

“I honestly do wish that. I believe in the Christian gospel, and I hope eventually, my wife comes to see it the same way."

Every $1 invested in SNAP generates $1.80 in local economic activity. Without SNAP, that will mean a loss of $15 billion to the US economy just in November alone.
Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Which really speaks to the fact they're directly recruiting from the "I could've been a marine but the gov said I'd be TOO deadly" loser pool
