Winter Olympics: "All of that but ON ICE"
I don’t know if this is a hot take but the Winter Olympics is the superior Olympics

Someday—probably after she’s gone—we’ll hopefully be able to have an honest reckoning of Oprah’s outsized, decades-long role in poisoning our culture by elevating and mainstreaming reactionary grifters and pseudoscientific woo woo wellness bullshit.

There was a time I thought the Right was too skeptical of federal law-enforcement agents -- even paranoid about them. That was possibly a better time than now.

Doddering old man literally attacking windmills? The writers are a little on the nose this season.
Asked about his relationship with Starmer and Macron, he rambles and adds "they gotta stop with the windmills"

Yanno… @minakimes.bsky.social has been telling us all year not to pick Panthers games.

She was absolutely correct. They are chaos incarnate.

Many of the people who talk up "Heritage Americanism" today are descendants of people -- Jews, Irishmen, Italians -- who were abominated by the "Heritage Americans" of an earlier time. The Know Nothings and their kin decried the new arrivals as unfit for American life. On it goes.

Look, even if these attacks were completely legitimate acts of national defense (they aren't), treating the killing of people like it's entertainment, rather than a terrible but perhaps necessary evil, is depraved and sickening.

Adjusted for era, I think there's a case for Donald Trump at #1 but you have to remember how different the game was in the 18th and 19th century, they literally had to change the rules to stop the slave owners.
this really isn’t an exaggeration
This man may be the most racist president this country has ever had, and twelve presidents owned slaves

This may explain some people, but how does it explain the many voters I meet who voted for Obama and then for Trump? They are just looking for a savior, and if one didn't succeed, they'll move on to the next who promises even more.

At common law, Larceny requires three things: the loot, the warrant, and the crook. In that order. It also helps if you are good at middle school general trivia and there is an a capella group narrating your investigation.
That’s a mystery novel trope. It has nothing to do with law or real life.

America's higher education system is the envy of the world. People pay enormous amounts of money to send their kids here. Some of them stay and become part of America; others go back and spread our ideas. It's win-win-win.

So naturally, these folks want to kill it.
Has anyone written a piece on how Batya Ungar-Sargon ended up like this? On this particular interview she also told Megyn Kelly that she thought the United States should ban ALL foreign students.
