I do think we have a pretty good chance of turning gambling into a genuine popular moral crusade 19th century style, because it's becoming a social evil that's destroying young men's lives in particular but also making sports coverage really shit.
Almost every major news story this week is about how the entire economy is now gambling, scams, bribes and theft.

Snit was the best Braves manager any of us have ever seen, up to and including Bobby Cox. I hate to see him step away bc you know how much this position means to him after 40+ years, how much he means to the players, and how much they mean to him. He fought to make that clubhouse better everyday.

Not clear why people seem unable to reconcile:
1) a small group of Jewish leaders colluded with Roman authorities to have Jesus (who they saw as a religious troublemaker) put to death as a rebel.
2) no, this doesn't make all Jews, then or now, responsible for his death.
3) Jesus himself was a Jew.
