That state senator should also discuss what the state provides as a food allowance for members of the legislature, as well as what the United States Congress provides as a food allowance for the members of Congress. Because you know they ain’t eating on their own dollar.
Connecticut State Senator, Saud Anwar, shows what it's like to live off of $6.20 in food per day. The average allowance for SNAP recipients.

Time to flush the toilet and get rid of them. I may be liberal, but I definitely would settle for a centrist of some sort at this point.

I miss Mary as our rep.
@lizruskin.bsky.social nailed tonight’s @alaskapublic.org At-Large. Sullivan is selling “MAGA North” merch and Murkowski has voted 91% with Trump. We’ve deserved better than both of them for a long time. #AkLeg #Alaska

Not the Cookie Jar! Bah.

That whole area is really conservative unfortunately.

It would be better just to create a list of places that supported moderate to liberal ideas instead. Unfortunately, probably a very short list.
Updated list of businesses in #Fairbanks whose owners recently donated to Trump or local MAGA candidates.

This list is based on public records and is not comprehensive (yet!).

Is there any possibility Prince Andrew, Donald Trump, & Epstein, we’re doing all that as a type of business & extortion ring? Where Donald Trump & Prince Andrew were financial backers & Epstein was the person on the ground running things. They bring him money, but also record video for blackmail

If Prince Andrew used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

If Bill Clinton used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

If Donald Trump used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

That wasn’t so difficult, was it?

The Office of Naval Research (for historical and other reasons) has been an important supporter of innovative research (including for me early in my career).

This is deeply worrisome and incredibly stupid.

Even if the shutdown ends tomorrow, I suspect we are in for a pretty rapid decline in air travel quality. There just isn't enough slack in the system for it to be resilient in the face of the last 10 months, let alone in what promises to continue for the next 3 years.

Most of Ireland's uplands are commonage, ie co-owned by local farmers.

The ONLY real income from commonage is via subsidies, almost always for ecosystem-killing sheep. This is why Irish mountains are all empty wastelands, kept that way by your taxes.

Why are we STILL not paying farmers to rewild??

It’s only a matter of time before the US’s leader gets temperamental and screws it up somehow. You just wait.
Donald Trump and Xi Jinping made headlines for reaching a trade truce. Their competition to win over other nations matters just as much.
