There's a post over on Twitter that I've been laughing to myself about. Some right-wing guy is celebrating that a school took down "All-Gender" bathroom signs and replaced them with "Single Occupancy Restroom" signs. And like... it's the same thing, man. You're celebrating a pointless relabeling.

Plowed protected bike lanes show how transformative #PlowTheSidewalks could be.

On streets like Milwaukee with plowed protected bike lanes, there is an alternative when a business shirks their legal & moral responsibilities after a snowfall.

Happy early birthday to me from me. I’m upgrading my 2019 Edison e-bike to the latest model.

I’ve commuted 12 miles round trip to work every day I could for the last 5.5 years, putting over 20,000 miles on my old bike.

Technology has progressed and I’m excited to get my hands on the latest.

Apparently, our interstellar traveller has split into 3 pieces while hiding from our easy view behind our sun. This isn't what comets normally do, in fact very little of what 3iAtlas has done has been normal. The continuing narrative is that it's just a weird comet...

It’s another Saturday at the library!

Just trying to convince everyone and anyone to swing by and grab a book…maybe get a little reading done…maybe stare out one of our massive windows and ponder the meaning of life…the possibilities at the library are endless!

November and December typically account for 20%+ of an indie bookshop’s annual sales.

Our support is needed to help them keep the lights on in the new year. Shop small this holiday season & beyond, so your indie can support your community in 2026 & beyond.

I fear that I will die without accomplishing anything.

What I need to remember is I don't have to, say, publish a book to accomplish something. I accomplish a little something every time I make you think or even laugh.

Those that lament Chicago’s low ranking in the annual list of bike-friendly cities should pipe down. A city that doesn’t give equal priority to clearing bike and car lanes can’t claim to be a bike-friendly city. This is Clybourn Avenue, which holds a protected bike lane corridor to Downtown.

Between 1927 and 1931 Faber produced The Ariel Poems – a series of seasonal, illustrated poetry pamphlets – sent to authors, friends and acquaintances in place of a Christmas card. There were 38 pamphlets made in the first series, with a further 8 printed when they were briefly brought back in 1954.

Community resilience in communities through crisis is a thing that research has explored. But what does it look like on the ground?
