I'm sorry, is the Trump Administration talking to a tech platform?

Is it...requesting content moderation?

They keep on saying that the shooter is not cooperating with them but also that he was motivated by leftist ideologies.

Sure sounds like he wont tell them what they want him to say.
The shooter is still alive and turned himself in. Why do they need to “reproduce” it when they can just ask him?
Kash Patel now says there’s a manifesto in the Kirk shooting, but it was destroyed, but the FBI can prove it existed using forensic evidence. So Kash wants to reproduce a manifesto that doesn’t exist to reveal the motives of the shooter. Got it.

I think Bluesky has been clear from the beginning about what they were building and why. A whole lot of people didn’t take them seriously, or maybe thought they could be hollered into changing course, but I don’t think they have.

They probably will continue to fail in the criminal realm but have some success in administrative warfare, like more grant revocations, baseless tax audits, freezing accounts, and the like. Enough to do some damage even if they can’t get prison sentences. And probably more ICE abductions

and a slide that explains illegal data torrenting by Meta, i also had to remove

In the end, it was either remove everything that names names (big tech particularly) and remove logos or cancel my talk.

When critical race theorists point out that “neutrality” and “objectivity” are often a thin veneer for white supremacy, they mean stuff like this.
An opinion writer is not allowed to criticize the paper on social media for using a Nazi source but the reporter who worked with the Nazi source was free to leave a long social media trail being buddy-buddy with the Nazi in public

Here's what a Dem consultant told a reporter about my story that the GOP bill,as written, forces $500bn in Medicare cuts:
"I need an actual publication to verify this before I take it seriously. Like what’s Jake Sherman’s take here? My understanding is these Medicare cuts are routinely cancelled" 🙄
Republicans Are Cutting Medicare. Not Only Medicaid, Medicare.
Passage of the Big Beautiful Bill will force mandatory sequestration that will mean half a trillion dollars in Medicare cuts.

people are incredibly poorly informed about immigration and crackdowns focus attention; friend just compared this to foreign aid — in that people support more generous policies than the status quo but don’t realize it — and I think that’s an apt analogy.
You cannot overstate how badly the media botched it re public opinion on immigration. People turned off their brains and forgot what was long obvious: Opinion on this is thermostatic. Trump isn't a magical exception.

We need a better discourse on this:

Feel like if the resource impacts of data centers really aren't that big of a deal there wouldn't be a federal effort to prevent states from restricting or regulating data center construction

It’s actually just not possible to spend this much money. Previous efforts to rapidly grow the Border Patrol and CBP led to decades of corruption. This is a recipe for corruption on a giant scale.
NEW: GOP lawmakers are preparing reconciliation bill with $90-175 BILLION in new funding for immigration enforcement.

ICE's entire annual budget is ~$9 billion.

The Trump administration’s campaign to remove millions of people from the United States could soon be supercharged by Congress.

The biggest long term damage caused by communist mismanagement of public health is the resulting mistrust. I can give you examples. Czech communists used the healthcare system to have Gynaecologists secretly sterilise Romani women & women who were regime critics, during regular health checks.
I don’t know much about Bulgaria beyond their choirs and music. Is this something that they dropped like a stone, or did this get itself stuck into their culture such that it’s still around today in a big way?

Please, I’m begging people to stop responding to every economic update and tariff announcement as if they’re just screwing up and as if the demolition of our economy isn’t beneficial to oligarchs and the wealth class that wants to gobble up resources and exploit us more effectively.

The claim that libraries are an alternative to libgen is ridiculous. Almost all libraries don't have expensive academic books. Libgen is the university library of the world, open to everyone regardless of wealth, location, or academic credentials.

Also thinking about whether this will impact academics invited to speak at conferences. Yes, we should (I should) have been more vocal when this has already happened to our non White European members ofc. Best time to react was yesterday, 2nd best is today.
The good news? UK comic maker Becky Burke is home after being detained by ICE. The bad news, the new regime’s stricter reading of the previously ignored rules on work will catch others out coming to the US for comic events - comicon.com/2025/03/18/f...

I think there's reason to believe that the average of personal economic sentiment is closer to the factual truth than the average of personal feelings about crime. Most of us engage with actual market prices and paychecks more often than we do actual crime.
