Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

By all rights I should be eating popcorn and streaming CNN right around now. Instead I just outlined a new project and made a huge dent in the memoir project. Let me know when y’all catch up on exactly how evil folks turn out to be. I’ve been telling y’all since 1999ish.

This is the life I’ve always wanted.
These five remarkable centenarians credit their longevity to eating well, Japan’s affordable health care, exercise and family support, and something else: their work. “If I die here, in my workshop, I will be happy,” said 103-year-old Seiichi Ishii. nyti.ms/4nv7Tvf

Shame on the Supreme Court for giving this man the tools to dismantle what we have built.

Anyone at any time can become disabled. At DPS, we're investing in accessibility for all to ensure that our neighbors, now and for future generations, can move freely throughout our community.

Listen to WOSU All Sides report on disability rights in Ohio:
The status of disability rights in Ohio
The American with Disabilities Act required equal opportunity in hiring, access to public places like restaurants and hotels, and promised an end to discrimination.

Yesterday I learned that my weird little family shows up and piles on when one of their own is in a bad place. It was beautiful and I kind of pity the person in authority that had to handle us.

Student comes into a diversity of gender lecture yelling that they’re all degenerates and throwing the HH salute around then this happens.

The best part? No one lays a hand on him except to make sure he doesn’t hurt anyone. He’s pepper sprayed & surrounded & no one so much as takes a swing at him.

Colombian President Petro has called for the International Criminal Court in The Hague to make a CRIMINAL investigation into Trump, for all his crimes in the seas of the Caribbean, and beyond globally.

There are a few books I read almost every year; there are others I hold just as dear because they were the distraction I needed.

Earlier this year @jeffvandermeer’s Project X got me through a series of long dark nights. This time it was @chuckwendig’s Wanderers that’s been keeping me sane-ish.

Doggo seemed to turn a corner last night and is much more her sweet self after sleeping almost 24 hours straight through. I couldn’t be more relieved. And I couldn’t be more proud of my little family for rallying around her and showing one another so much love and support.
