Trump Wants Venezuela's Oil. Getting It Might Not Be So Simple
The administration has made it clear that Nicolás Maduro's capture was tied to Venezuela's vast oil reserves. Much less certain is how US companies will actually access them—or if they even want to.

I really think this is the most important basic journalistic error we need to stamp out right now. If you know why Grok can’t comment on anything and also know any journalists, please check in with them and help them understand it too.
I hate this phrasing and how it buys into what is essentially a falsehood about the autonomy of chatbots that is RIGHT NOW deforming our entire law and society. Grok doesn't say anything. That's like saying 'Microsoft Word apologized for losing everyone's files'

A year and a half ago or so, I read that an entire stadium in Tacoma had booed a trans runner. I wanted to know more. She was 16, and she had stood on a podium in one of the country’s most liberal states and listened to 10,000 people boo her. What I learned surprised me:

Verónica García overcame poverty to become a high school track champion — twice. It made her famous for all the wrong reasons.

I can just hear Bari on calls, demanding more 'happy news' from CBS bosses. "People want positivity!"
December 22, 2025 at 3:17 PM
Exactly. There's not a news process that exists that mandates that Stephen Miller be on the record or the story doesn't run. Plus, the detainees' identities are also well known, and verified. Come up with a better bullshit excuse, Bari.
I am sure the 60 Minutes report on CECOT was very well done, but what makes the decision to kill it even more damning is that CBS was hardly out on a limb on this story. It has been extremely well documented and reported by many journalists.
