It’s looking like she was a TEEN when all this started, which changes the story to just another horrible example of men’s abuse and the long term effects of that abuse
Anyway, it’s very easy to point fingers at the woman who, yes, makes some WILD choices but all these old ass men in power were more than happy to tango. And now at least two of them are being MESSY and acting like they aren’t a problem!

This makes me not want to waste a single milligram of carrot. And also want to work for a just food system.
“Ale" works in the carrot harvest in CA. She earns $3.05 for every box of carrots she packs. One box has 24 bunches of 7 carrots each. To earn $100 she has to pack 34 boxes or 816 bunches which represents over 5000 carrots picked in a day. #WeFeedYou

RE starbucks picket line--the relevant detail is "picket line, do not cross." Pass that along. Proclaiming that you are in no danger of doing so because you are too aesthetically pure to let Starbucks coffee pass your lips is...unhelpful and does not give the impression you perhaps imagine it does.

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

I don’t think this will change how anyone feels about Trump because he himself told us who he was way back when we heard the “grab her by the [body part]” tape. But maybe it will make it so he can’t blackmail the other people in the files and his hold over them will loosen?
BREAKING

Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva has now signed the Epstein discharge petition which means it has received the 218 signatures it needs.

Yeah in my post last night I forgot to mention that they want to loot the climate fund for more police (violence, coercion, and corruption.) Don’t sign the petition.
This is a slap in the face and a naked attempt at a power grab. If the PPA and their wealthy backers want to put up a ballot measure to fund more police positions, they can do so without raiding a program that’s helping protect vulnerable communities from climate change.
Ballot Initiative Will Seek to Reroute 25% of Climate Tax Revenues to Hiring Police
A citizen ballot initiative backed by the Portland Police Association will seek to reroute 25% of revenues from the Portland Clean Energy Fund tax to fund the hiring of 400 additional police officers.

Housing not harm:
Sweeps are violence and it really is that simple. If you live in Portland and have a heart in your body please take the time to testify in person/zoom tomorrow or in writing and ask our city council to reroute money away from sweeps, which do not reduce homelessness. www.portland.gov/council-cler...

If you are a Portlander and saw what the mayor sent out, I hope you caught how disingenuous it was and how badly it represented Councilor Morillo’s amendment. If you didn’t hear I am and here are others explaining it. Please testify, link in comments
Over the weekend, the Mayor started calling nonprofits warning them their funding would disappear if this passed. 🙃 Except… most of them don’t even get money from that sweeps budget.

Nice try though.
