It is very possible that, at the end of this, the accelerationists will end up being the closest to correct.

This is national (not just NYC) polling on some of Mamdani's platform. Which is weird, because the oldest, wrongest people on Earth keep telling us that his ideas wouldn't fly anywhere but NYC... Huh. Could.... no. But maybe... could James Carville be... wrong?!

The 07/08 economic collapse isn't cool. You know what is? Doing the 07/08 economic collapse again, but this time destroying the environment too.
This is insane. This is *literally* doing the same mechanics of the housing crisis and 2008 recession but to create debt to finance construction of AI data centers

The only possible thing for Democrats to do now is go all in on universal health care. Anyone who won’t do it needs to go away forever.

I do think the fundamental problem is we see the country on the existential brink, and they still appear to believe that there’s still some value in the way they’ve always done things.

The number one way you know the whole "the Democrats are controlled by the far left!" thing that centrists and Republicans like to talk about is 100% bullshit is just watching literally everything Chuck Schumer does.

Democratic leadership saw people getting excited and encouraged by the elections last Tuesday and said "that's QUITE enough of that!"

It's impressive to write a sentence this completely, totally wrong, let alone have it be the opening line of your article in a major national newspaper.

Wild how many people are just blindly believing CEOs when they claim job losses are due to AI and not due to the many many other factors right now that historically contribute to job losses.

It’s funny watching pundits be shocked that “he doesn’t have experience” is more appealing to normal people than “he has tons of experience and all it is bad.”

Prop 50 passed! Hooray!
Unfortunately, in the fine print, it makes it illegal to skip tonight's Convoy/Hebecky Drysbell show at UCB. Punishiable with heavy, heavy fines. Don't get mad at me, I don't know why Newsom did that.

“I wish Andrew Cuomo only the best in private life”
Even this is far nicer than Cuomo deserves.
Cuomo gave a fairly graceless concession speech, and Mamdani rips his skin off:
"My friends, we have toppled a political dynasty. I wish Andrew Cuomo the best in private life. But let tonight be the last time I mention his name."
