Among the many many other pluses of diversity (moral, cultural, economic), one is that it’s *interesting*. Not the same old shit over and over and over again. A lack of diversity is BORING. And that’s why boring people are against it.

Quite pathetic to see “the wokes are ruining D&D” coverage from the kind of outlet that would have been running “D&D is corrupting your children with Satanism!” coverage back in the ‘80s.

And “I’m not going to do anything to put money in that artist’s pockets while they’re still alive and can do something with it” is yet a third approach.

All of them are legitimate. But they’re all different things.

The notion that the BBC has a duty to reflect the views of racists, homophobes, Islamophobes, transphobes, etc just because there are a lot of them in the UK is absolutely ludicrous.

The BBC has a duty to *educate*. Bigotry is the polar opposite of that.
SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

A Sky of Honey is what I put on in the background when I give a massage - it's beautiful music you can just lose yourself in.
After a 12-year wait (now 20 years ago)…
OTD 2005 Kate Bush – Aerial
A Sky of Honey climaxes on 17 minutes of gorgeous music: simple beauty, enchanting chanting, pulsing powerful panoramic oomph
Though I rarely listen to whole suites, I always play this pair together:
Nocturn / Aerial
Magnificent.
