Maybe the Smithsonian’s African-American history museum really is unfairly committed to telling the story of the trans-Atlantic human trafficking cataclysm perpetrated by centuries of Europeans.

There should be a Museum of Whites in the New World (1492 - 1859). We can focus on slavery over there.

The Mamdan-Trump meeting is over already.

President Trump said the two talked about common goals like bringing down food prices. “The better he does, the happier I am,” Trump said. 🎁

There is something powerful about seeing some of the biggest names in Chicago broadcast journalism in my lifetime signing this strong condemnation of what the federal government is doing to our city. Thank you.

I’ve been going without pay for 7 weeks for nothing. This feels like a slap in the face from someone who was supposed to represent me. They used federal workers as pawns and then couldn’t even stick to the leverage that was supposed to gain them? No discipline in these electeds. Primary them all.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?
