If you’re at the 45th parallel in the U.S. you’ll get a lot of reminders you’re there, especially at the 45-90 marker near Wausau, Wisconsin, the center of the NW Hemisphere. But as the 45 marker in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, tells you, you’re not actually midway between the Equator and the North Pole.

IMPD, the city agency with the biggest budget by a huge margin, lost 2.7 million dollars in “investments” last year. About 9 times the value of the budget cuts at Parks that led to this new use fee.
