The No King protests represent a broad popular front. That’s exactly why the president’s allies are demonizing the organizers.
They’re teachers, nurses, Mennonites, and Marines. The Trump administration calls them antifa.

LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE DESPERATELY RUNNING 26 MILES, 385 YARDS TO ESCAPE A WAR ZONE
It was a beautiful Sunday in Portland. Farmer’s markets, the Portland Marathon, peaceful protests, and some views of Mt. Hood. This city is vibrant, peaceful, and resilient. We do not need a federal occupation, and we sure as hell don’t want one.

We hear a lot about boys getting radicalized online, and not enough about how to stop it.

This is good video with 5 specific things parents/adults can do:

“Because if they get a bad back, they die.” Nice. I hope everyone understands this is the goal the GOP have for all workers in this country. Work until you die. Get a disability? Die. Get too old or sick to work? Die. Can’t find a job that pays enough to buy food or housing? Die.

how can this continue

babies are starving

people are being bombed and shot when they go out to look for food

no meals for patients or hospital workers

this is deliberate, there is food waiting at the border

this is genocide

proscribing protest of genocide is fascist
I don’t have commentary for this… it is just horror.

AOC: When they say illegal vs legal immigration—they are trying to end legal status in the US making people undocumented and then they have the audacity to call them illegal when they were here documented.

Because Trump Admin has heartlessly cut funding for LGBTQ child suicide hotline program, now is a good time to give to the Trevor Project, as I did today.

9/ But there is no comparison anywhere on the left with MAGA's regular legitimization of violence in our politics. There is a straight line from Jan 6 to the pardons to the assault on Sen. Padilla to Minnesota.

A democracy cannot function when one faction embraces violence.

Are we clear now a private businessman shouldn’t be in a position to control the space program—that this richest man in the world fueled by drugs, ego & hate shouldn’t be partnering with a malignant sociopath in the WH immunized by the SCOTUS & bent on pocketing billions & flouting the Constitution?

Trump’s motivation is sadististically predictable, I find it boring. He is just a powerful bully. I find Musk more interesting at least. Like if we’re going to have an evil villain in our story, can we at least have more character development?
He enjoys domination and exercising power over the weak, so he loves the moment where he gets to say “We’re gonna hit you with 50%” and everyone gasps in shock and he gets to watch people suffer and he gets to feel strong. It’s about dopamine and if he stops pushing that button the dopamine stops
the problem with Trump is that he loves imposing tariffs more than just having tariffs, so a couple weeks after any tariff pauses he’ll always get bored want to raise them more

A small, almost invisible breath. Relief.

And then came gratitude…

You didn’t just choose kindness or experience…

You chose not to flirt with fascism.”

not for nothing, but there's been a genuinely bipartisan rhetorical obsession with manufacturing in our politics since nafta that's a big contributor to this kind of incoherence and i think it probably behooves liberal politicians to rethink that obsession

In a republic, it is the laws that make you free. They are the safeguard from the arbitrary whims of government. Without the laws, then we are all slaves because we live at the government’s arbitrary will, just like the slave lives at the arbitrary will of a master.
