Mariners baseball, Disney parks, occasional memes.
both Alex Bregman and Pete Alonso spent seemingly forever over the offseason negotiating multiyear deals, and now both are opting out after just 1 year. Appears its all about extracting more money. Keep them both the hell away from my Mariners.
Unsurprisingly, Alex Bregman will be opting out of the final two seasons on his #RedSox contract:

Imagine being Jacob Wilson, hitting for huge average, becoming and All Star as a rookie, and lining yourself up to be the American League Rookie of the Year, and then Nick Kurtz gets called up. Both these guys are tremendous.
1.060+ OPS, First 66 Career Games
(Last 95 MLB Seasons, 200+ PAs):

Johnny Mize
Willie McCovey
Albert Pujols
Yordan Álvarez
Nick Kurtz

That's it. Only five guys.

i feel like certain umps have that reputation already, so if you are pitching in a game with CB Bucknor, you kind of already know anything around the edge is going to be anybody's guess
How many of these pitches should have been called strikes? CB Bucknor said zero.

the surefire way Cal gets MVP over Aaron Judge is if the Mariners beat the Yankees in a postseason series.
Who should be the AL MVP favorite?

Aaron Judge is having the best offensive season since Barry Bonds. Hard to argue.

But what Cal Raleigh does managing the pitching staff, being a platinum glove defender behind the plate AND an elite hitter, is more valuable

love this. i am the only person in my family who unironically loves PizzeRizzo and I allow no slander against it. Both the best counter service and the best dollar for dollar food in Hollywood Studios. I hope when the land turns into Monstropolis they reopen it exactly as it is just a new name.
Bittersweet PizzeRizzo. Only a week left to say your goodbyes.

I'm tired of the Seattle Mariners platooning at 1B. I'd rather they just find a 20 HR guy who can hit righties and lefties and let him be the everyday guy at first.

I still don't understand wanting to create a park with only Movie-themed lands. Disney has been turning Hollywood Studios in this, soon it'll have highly themed, movie specific lands and it's so weird watching a group of adults dressed in robes and carrying lightsabers cut through Toy Story Land
If Disney decided to build an Epic Universe-style theme park, which five properties would you pick? 🤔

do you think the Mariner's don't get interest from big name free agents because hitters hate T-Mobile and don't want to play there? a hitter like Bregman or Alonso might get 5-10 more home runs a season playing with a different home park
Why is it so hard to hit at Seattle's T-Mobile Field? A deep one on how the the best pitcher's park in baseball creates strikeouts, limits damage, makes it hard to evaluate pitchers and hitters -- and why it's about more than *just* the batter's eye.

Melania's supposed stunt double has become a meme at this point, but I still believe it. and my general rule of thumb is whenever she is both wearing sunglasses and smiling, its her double.
REPORTER: Mr President, why did you invite Adam Schiff on your trip if you called him scum?

TRUMP: I don't know. Is he going? Is he going? 'Cause if he's going to be there, it would be cheaper, but I didn't invite him. Somebody did.

Remember when the 2023 Texas Rangers won the World Series and then the 2024 Texas Rangers went 78-84 and finished 10 games back in their division? I guess the Dodgers don't want that to be them.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, who already have folks screaming about their payroll, have reached a tentative agreement with free-agent closer Kirby Yates, pending a physical. The deal comes on the heels of signing Tanner Scott to a 4-year, $72 million contract.
