Had a really niche skeet ready to go asking which mayoral candidate each of the SuperKitties voted for last week.

All I know is Bitsy’s glad Zohran won.

Out here hoping #PennState can return the favor of Indiana's 2020 upset to the Hoosiers here today. We are down but, still, #WeAre.

They don’t prepare you for how hard some of the lines in kids shows/movies go.

Every time I hear “Into the night to save the day” on PJ Masks I think to myself that’s one of the coldest catchphrases ever.

-David Njoku to Jacksonville
-Billionaires to realize the massive consolidation of wealth is ruining life as we know it and will eventually decay anything and everything they hold dear

This Saturday was circled on the calendar and looked very different even just a month ago.

Probably going to see Penn State get rolled today but #WeAre, nonetheless.

Started a substack to have a spot to post recommendations on Movies, Music, TV, and other things I like. Would love it if y'all would check it out and subscribe if you're so compelled.

The first post: The Life of Chuck

This Movie I Like: "The Life of Chuck"
A 4.5 out of 5 on my Letterboxd, The Life of Chuck hits on the big questions: "What truly matters?", "Why are we here?", and "Does Mike Flanagan ever miss?"

A note for sports: Bluesky’s engagement rate was x10 higher than X’s across a sampling of identical posts made on both platforms by @rapsheet.bsky.social (sharing with permission)

Fwiw we see a similar trend across all communities, not just sports. Real people, real conversations.

I'm late to the party, but just found out that Donald Glover made a Sufjan Stevens Remix Album for "Come On! Feel the Illinoise!" prior to his life as Childish Gambino.

Listening to it on repeat today. It's everything I could have ever wanted.

It sucks, I like Franklin. I think he’s a good leader and brought Penn State to an incredibly high standard. Unfortunately, each loss was the exact same script: a struggling offense that’s unable to get things going or help out the defense. The defense, too, had started to give. Now’s the time.
OFFICIAL: Penn State has fired James Franklin.

AD Pat Kraft: "We hold our athletics programs to the highest of standards, and we believe this is the right moment for new leadership at the helm of our football program to advance us toward Big Ten and national championships.”

Local library was having a book/media sale today. Was a huge boon to the physical media collection I'm accruing. DVD finds I'm most excited about:

Synecdoche New York (Never Seen)
The Master (Never Seen)
The Tree of Life (Never Seen)
Nightcrawler
The Kings of Summer
Nebraska
The Princess Bride

Penn State fan here. Team was not focused, lacked intensity, and well, here we are.

Coaching changes can light a fire — certainly looks like UCLA has bought into the interim staff. But this is inexcusable, man.
