Tyler Olander has more national championships than Jim Boeheim.
Since December 14 exactly one opponent has shot better than 34.4% from 3 against Michigan would you like to guess who?

(Wisconsin, who beat them)
Obviously Michigan looks awesome but have you considered that they’re merely opposing 3p% variance merchants overdue to regress to the mean?

Why are college coaches going on viral rants so much? Well, maybe there is one coach in particular, who got a lot of attention for it, and the others noticed. Just a guess!

The other coaches aren’t as good (at coaching, or ranting), but overall it’s great for the sport. 🍿

If I was ESPN I’d simply use a camera that didn’t have a guy holding up a pom pom in front of it

I am not saying root for Duke.

On the one hand, “everything works better when Solo Ball is dialed in” is not much of an insight because duh.

But on the other hand, everything works better when Solo Ball is dialed in.

Everyone else: “this is one of the best seasons of college basketball ever.”
Me and the 30 odd UConn freaks I converse with most: “Rooting for my beloved alma mater, which is 22-2 and Top 10 in KenPom, is the most frustrating experience of my life.”

This is the Patriots’ worst nightmare: playing a team that is good (and not cursed by injury).
February 9, 2026 at 3:02 AM
I know there is a significant overlap between UConn and Patriots fans and I don’t want you to think that we don’t feel your frustration tonight. Not only do we feel it, but we’re enjoying it immensely. This is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

Not going for two. Not catching that punt. Just poor coaching imo.

The simple truth is that 125 million people are bored right now because Bo Nix broke his ankle and each and every one of them are crying out for Bo to get well soon.

I’ll be genuinely disappointed if there isn’t an economics Ph.D. candidate out there working on a paper with a title like “Toward a More Shining Moment: Efficient Allocation of Compensation and its Downstream Impact on Competition in Collegiate Basketball”

Many are saying “losing on the road against the second best team in your league this weekend” is the cool thing to do and UConn are, once again, trendsetters.

When St. John’s picked their dumb new mascot they had separate votes for mascot name and type. One possible combo was Stormy The Red Storm Bear. Instead they have this freak. Disgusting.
