Listen, you, regular person, likely can’t, say, stop your government from murdering fishermen. You can’t re-imprison a pardoned crook. You can’t stop drilling in whichever formerly protected forest. But you can, right now, find ways to protect your neighbors. There are people doing it. Join them.
From this minister's op-ed: "People wanting to experience God are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church...God does not live in our houses of worship, but...with those who are bearing the brunt of cruelty in this moment."
Oh wow @reuters.com got the photo here:

Greetings, sapients! Are you ready for a tale of spaceships, knitting, and the evils of capitalism in space? Whether you are or not, this week we have "Knit Three, Save Four" by @reasie.bsky.social for your eyes, ears, and other sensory organs!
Escape Pod 1018: Knit Three, Save Four
The ship was two days overdue for docking, more or less. As a stowaway, I didn’t have access to status reports. My passive data sniffer patiently checked for the docking station network, telling me…

So much tear gas & flash grenades tonight at ICE in Portland. US Gestapo came out, pushed people back & held a line as other feds shot down tear gas canisters from the roof. People were dancing before this as an impromptu rave broke out

For the first time in more than 100 years, Chinook salmon have been spotted at the confluence of the Sprague and Williamson rivers in Chiloquin, the government seat of the Klamath Tribes in Southern Oregon.

Salmon clear last Klamath dams, reaching Williamson and Sprague rivers
Just a year after four dams were removed, a group of fall Chinook have migrated nearly 300 miles into the Upper Klamath Basin.

Chicago journalists are doing a helluva job staying on top of the ICE incursion here.
Happening now: at Kedzie and 40th, where Border Patrol agents just opened fire on rapid response this afternoon. A woman CFD says they found after the incident is reported in fair condition.

A growing number of outraged neighbors have gathered across from ICE/CBP agents who have closed Kedzie.
