if this was posted on April 1 I would 100% assume it was a joke. I still think it might be a joke

Crime is bad. Crime is bad. Crime is bad.
The failure of legal actions to fight corruption at the highest levels of government reinforces the need for legislation and other congressional actions. Our latest report offers recommendations for strengthening the Constitution’s Emoluments Clauses: bit.ly/3XdgCaq
Codifying the Constitution’s Emoluments Clauses
To prevent corruption, the Constitution prohibits the president and other officials from receiving untoward benefits. Congress, however, must take action to enable enforcement.

Trump and Republicans refuse to fight for American families, but I refuse to give up on them.

I simply cannot vote to do nothing to help protect them from Trump’s vindictive efforts in exchange for a vague promise from the least trustworthy Republican party in our nation’s history.

I am excited to be coordinating a couple panels about game design at #BGG.CON in two weeks. I'm new to this so it's kind of an adventure. Wish me luck!

My test to see if I’m sick or just drained:

‘Maybe I’ll take a break and play some borderlands.’

Drained: yeah, that sounds good
Sick: oh god, that sounds like work

So, yeah, I seem to be sick.

BGG.CON in two weeks, hoping to throw together a couple panels, and surprised/annoyed to find that several text chains with designers went missing from my phone. Or I'm just crazy.

If you're going and want to be on a design panel, hit me up.

Trump just continually shooting our country in the face. This unwarranted (and likely illegal) destruction of Goddard is madness. It jeopardizes the next several decades of space exploration.
Reposting to correct an error: trump admin is quietly gutting 13 buildings and about 100 laboratories at Goddard campus that has been instrumental to Hubble and James Webb telescope missions. Staff say they’ve be locked and told to move equipment. Anything left behind will be thrown away.
NASA may be quietly gutting an iconic campus with what it calls strategic closures, workers fear
(CNN) — Alarm is growing among federal workers at NASA’s iconic Goddard Space Flight Center’s main campus in Greenbelt, Maryland — the nerve center for groundbreaking missions like the Hubble

It’s always fun (and just a bit weird) when something I designed at my kitchen table gets explained in a language I do not speak to people I will never meet. I love that my games get to travel so far.

Some people look up to Trump because he does what he wants.

But the thing is, a good President can't do whatever he wants, a good President does what's best for the nation.

Congress and the Senate need to get to work and push back before they lose their jobs for good.

Anyway I'm pretty sure stuff actually has to start literally breaking and falling apart because there is no way to actually negotiate with a madman like this who refuses to learn what he's talking about and has a fixed delusional belief about one the key point of discussion

If given the chance, I'd lose my legs all over again to serve in our great military.

The leader of your party is a five-time draft dodger who has fired more Veterans than any other president in our history.

Square that circle then tell me who really hates our military.

34 people killed in 50 days. Their guilt or innocence unknown, for an alleged crime that doesn't carry a death sentence. That's a lot of death.

Trump’s idea of being “tough on crime?” Forcing thousands of DOJ, FBI, DEA, ATF and more of our federal officers to abandon real criminal investigations to back ICE’s reckless operations.

When Mike Johnson or another national leader repeatedly claims they haven’t seen relevant things in the news, an appropriate reporter reaction would be “Holy cow, how do you not know?!? How can you do your job without knowing what’s happening? What are you doing to fix your ‘not knowing’ problem?”
I don't understand why U.S. reporters so regularly seem to let politicians get away with 'I haven't seen that' about stuff a) they obviously know and b) is directly relevant to their job. Did they sign some kind of agreement never to ask a follow-up question?
REPORTER: We know the president moved forward with mass layoffs. We're also learning there were significant cuts to staff at special education services. Are you comfortable with those cuts?

MIKE JOHNSON: I haven't seen the specifics of that and I don't know

Dude has no respect for the law, no respect for his constituents, no budget. Who is paying for his homeland siege?
We have the Insurrection Act for a reason—

But it's not so a President with 34 felonies can ignore court orders and punish cities he doesn't like with military intimidation.

Especially not when the courts are telling him his claims of insurrection are "untethered to the facts."
Trump "We have an Insurrection Act for a reason. If I had to enact it, I'd to that ... if courts were holding us up or governors or mayors were holding us up, sure, I'd do that."

here we are in this absolute fucking clown car we call a nation, where it's left to an emphatically mid comic to take on the role of speaking truth to power with gravitas on the airwaves, while the literal, actual president delivered the garbled word salad of a violent maniac at the United Nations

The president's big problem which he fails to perceive is that nobody *respects* a bully. Bullies are feared, nothing more. E.g. getting Kimmel canceled shows he is powerful, but nobody respects a wimp who can't stand up to a little criticism. The harder he cracks down the less respect he will get.
