Since outcomes are not always linear, #SystemsThinking is an approach I use as a tech leader to build complex and interconnected systems.

Didn't you guys write this exact same story about billionaires in NYC about Mamdani only to write a 'nah SIKE' follow up like a week after he won when all the billionaires realized they don't have Zabars in like Rochester
Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.
A Wealth Tax Floated in California Has Billionaires Thinking of Leaving
It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

more confirmation that lurking clearly behind this idea of the “heritage american” is a straightforward contempt for the actual history and tradition of this country, such that vermeule has to hallucinate a framework to justify his desire to jettison the clear meaning of the 14th amendment
I had missed this latest delirium by Adrian Vermeule on birthright citizenship

'Common law?! NAH, it's the Roman law of adoption that should govern the interpretation of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution!'

If you read the AI village people and their blog posts about what they learned and intended siccing agents that were allowed to be autonomous on the world they're really like a platonic ideal of DIDN'T STOP TO THINK IF THEY SHOULD.

Their blog posts are so introspective on the agent experience and hardly cover what humans might experience.

*people* are as much a part of their experimental design but practically no consideration.

As the US bombs Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa - on Christmas, which half of Nigeria celebrates - realize there could be no diplomatic negotiations about this beforehand because the US pulled its ambassador out of Nigeria last week.

This is critically important. Democrats need to pass it if they retake Congress. Trump will veto it. So pass it again. Campaign on it. Given current polling, corruption of the FBI, and the brutality of ICE and BP, there’s no better time to say, “Federal police are not above the law.”
Restoring Bivens rights: one bill "would allow citizens to sue for damages resulting from constitutional violations committed by federal officers," while the other "would create a cause of action against federal law enforcement agencies and police depts for constitutional violations."
These congressmen want to give you the right to sue federal law enforcement for violating your rights
The proposed bills aim to codify a 1971 Supreme Court ruling that allowed individuals to sue the feds for Fourth Amendment violations.

🚨The “tight” “rules” he’s talking about were in response to the burst of the housing bubble and subsequent recession.

The Great Recession President Obama inherited in ‘08 was the worst since the 1929-39 Great Depression; these regs were designed to curtail the malfeasance that led to the collapse.🚨
Bessent: "These 2008, 2009, 2010 financial rules were too tight. They hamstrung the American financial system. It was time for a change ... we have to take the financial system out of this straitjacket ... the regulated system is too constrained."
