The Israeli Gov't will be furious, though apparently it's over an edited Trump speech.

"Gaza War coverage: new report reveals systematic bias against Palestinians. The BBC gives Israeli deaths 33 times more coverage than Palestinian ones." Article I'm quoting from in comments

I have neither read nor watched Harry Potter. And given Joanna's *gesticulates widely* opinions, I have zero inclination to do so.
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

I of course welcome the recognition of the state of Palestine.

And there won't be a Palestinian state left if government's continue enabling Israel's unfolding genocide.

Labour can't credibly support Palestinian statehood whilst also continuing to arm Israel.

There is no more time for excuses: as the evidence of Israel’s genocide continues to mount the international community cannot claim they didn’t know.

there are several incredible lines in this piece
The Nation pulls NO punches, from @espiers.bsky.social

"There's no requirement to take part in this whitewashing campaign. Refusing to join in doesn’t make anyone a bad person. It’s a choice to write an obituary that begins “Joseph Goebbels was a gifted marketer and loving father to six children.”
Charlie Kirk’s Legacy Deserves No Mourning
The white Christian nationalist provocateur wasn’t a promoter of civil discourse. He preached hate, bigotry, and division

I think the worst thing you could say about Charlie Kirk and his as-yet-unidentified killer is that they both lived and died in the world Charlie Kirk wanted to exist, and worked hard to bring about.

"One for the mass card" as we always say.
Friend of ours went missing. Found safe and well but, the family used the worst picture of him on the local police SM and local paper. Now I've made sure my family has access to some decent photos of me incase I ever get kidnapped, killed, go missing or die in a tragic accident.

Dear God! Linehan was NOT arrested for “gender critical” tweets, or tweets about “trans issues”!
He was arrested for tweets calling on people to violently attack trans people in public bathrooms, or (cos he’s a feminist 🙄) if the police won’t help to find the nearest “big strapping bloke” to do it
