We must defend the right to protest.

I don't remember a single year without cuts.

My support evaporated pretty quickly, but this is just sickening.
Asylum seekers, and many other immigrants, come to this country in search of a better life. We have a duty to provide that. Instead, Labour are throwing them to the dogs.
Their swing to the hard right is sick.
Writing this with a heavy heart: the refugee citizenship ban is the single most unconscionable policy Labour has proposed since it entered power. It’s the moment that I felt my support for this administration begin to crumble inews.co.uk/opinion/colu...
The precise moment my support for Keir Starmer began to crumble
Labour is going to prevent refugees from ever becoming citizens of Britain

Good afternoon to nearly everyone! This is another absolute BANGER of a campaign from the wonderful folks at @cleancitiescampaign.org cleancitiescampaign.org/carspreading/
Carspreading: When big cars make our cities smaller.
Cars are getting bigger – about 1cm wider every two years. The only thing is, our streets aren’t.

11. Adopting Reform’s messages, Reform’s branding and Reform’s cruelty, to compete over who can most brutally beat up asylum seekers. Because competing with the far right always works out so well for centrist parties, doesn’t it? Forgive my French (and German, Italian, Swedish etc) but FFS!

Government are either
a) doing the wrong things (eg. considering new oil fields) or
b) doing the right things far too slow (eg reducing Drax subsidies not removing altogether).

They have become traitors to their own promises and they think it will make them popular, can't see that working.
Labour MPs across the country told their constituents that whilst they agree with the aims of the Climate & Nature Bill, we don't need to pass it—because Gov will do all the right stuff anyway.

Gov has let them & us down. What are they going to do about it? Because this couldn't be more important.
Our weak & outdated emissions targets are utterly ineffective, leaving Labour at the mercy of lobbyists:

👎Airport expansion
👎New oil
👎More wasted money on forest-burning #Drax
👎Billions on carbon capture
👎Slashed insulation budgets

The #CANBill will drive the changes needed to improve lives.

👏

“After one year of the zone, nitrogen dioxide from traffic was lower, GP visits for respiratory illnesses were down by 25% and those for heart problems decreased by 24%”
Bradford clean air zone saves NHS over £30,000 a month in first year

You’d be forgiven for thinking this was vindictive:

• Recalled to prison because wrist “too small” for tag
• Spent Xmas, New Year, 78th Bday in prison
• Term extended for being “unlawfully at large” while released
• Released on same tag previously deemed “too big”

Privatisation in action.
🚨 GAIE IS FREE

🔥 Yesterday Gaie, a 78 year old grandmother, was released from prison after a tag that fit her wrist was miraculously found.

🙄 This tag turned out to be the same same size they claimed was too big for her 2 months ago.
