Joyce Carol Oates absolutely reading Elon Musk for filth is pretty incredible, but something I'd point out is his feigned interest in games, and how fake that was, paying people to boost his accounts and play for him, and the rare time we actually got to see him play, he was absolutely miserable.

When you become disabled there’s a few things you notice right away:
Ableism is everywhere.
People will abandon you. Even those you were certain would stick by you.
Just because something is illegal or against human rights code doesn’t mean it’s not happening ALL the time

Unpopular take: "Childproof" too often also means "fuck disabled people." it doesn't only stop children from getting to drugs, it also stops people with e.g. arthritic hands or limited motor skills from getting their medication, and I hate it. Having to use a pry tool to open a drink is hard enough

Really glad to see lilsimsie and plumbella leave the EA creator network in light of the impending sale to Saudi Arabia. HATE how the sale is possible at all. Saudi Arabia’s government is really trying to get a culture victory and we can’t let them!

I could have sworn that the first time I saw Superman 2025 (a couple days early) that when Clark walked into the Daily Planet and Steve was yapping with him that he said something about Clark not wanting the paper to include ads, but I haven’t seen on rewatch. But I like to believe it happened.

seems that RFK is clearing the path for his CDC to do tuskegee syphillis experiments as a matter of course. in other news, RFK is a genuine monster who relishes in the pain and suffering of those he feels he has control or dominion over
RFK is undoing human subjects protections so he can conduct placebo trials of vaccines. That means infecting people knowingly. I wonder who will “volunteer” for these trials? If history is any guide, a lot of incarcerated and other powerless people.
Dismantling the Institutional Review Board (IRB), that oversees all human subjects research, is bad. Really bad.
