I’m a very grumpy person and I’m not really that smart. If you’re thinking of following me you probably shouldn’t. I have no insights to give you.

Noooooope. Nothing for the bad guys. Nothing.
What pisses me off here is that we’re always negotiating and bargaining for things we already won.

I’m imagining there’s a team of devils working overtime to keep him alive as wave after wave of karma is hurled at Trump, and they’re holding it together, deflecting retribution as fast as they can but by god but the waves keep getting higher and higher and the dam is cracking. Oh is it cracking.

Calling Tuesday night a “half-dozen scattered elections” shows why everyone needs to follow sites like The Downballot. There were thousands of elections this week, and Dems achieved as close to a clean sweep as is possible. We kept readers informed on dozens and dozens of them.

The democratic socialist future of America will require millions of Leslie Knopes doing the thankless work of the bureaucracy required to provide services to the people. If you think people like her are "neoliberal shills," you're not really a democratic socialist, you're just a cosplayer.

Press gonna spend a lot of time trying to absolve themselves of their tendency to hold Democrats to incredibly high standards, never being honest about their policies and bleating “both sides” over and over while praising Trump for every time he avoided completely eating shit.
"If only Democrats ran on what they were good on and warned people how bad Trump would be!"

People need to stop the gaslighting right the fuck now, it's beginning to piss me off.

Dems ran on how good they were with the economy. Dems ran on how bad Trump was. Dems ran on Build Back Better.

WTF.
"Why don't Democrats run on how good they are on the economy????"

I dunno what planet y'all were on, but every fucking time someone brought up how the economy was rapidly recovering under Democrats and the middle class was being rebuilt, we'd be told that graphs didn't matter because [anecdote].

/3 Notice also how thankfully Heritage accepts the gift that people like Ezra Klein give them: if you can frame bigotry as a “debate,” if it’s done in a friendly chat or a podcast or some other stylized forum, then it’s just uncouth and intolerant to call it out. Works out swell for bigots.

BREAKING: Democrats just tried to pass a standalone bill to fund WIC & SNAP to make sure families don't go hungry during the Republican shutdown.

Republicans BLOCKED it. So Trump won't use emergency funds to keep SNAP running, and Republicans won't let any bills pass. Shameful.

Few things have been been quite so radicalizing to me as the fact that the Biden presidency, the most conciliatory post-Trump administration imaginable — an unearned invitation to him and his to return to the fold of civilization — was spat on and treated as some kind of punishment.
