I’m a very grumpy person and I’m not really that smart. If you’re thinking of following me you probably shouldn’t. I have no insights to give you.

Noooooope. Nothing for the bad guys. Nothing.
I love, love love love, love love LOVE that in a time where the race is for who can build out the most renewable capacity and the best batteries, we’re starting a war over shitty oil. Love love love.

The one and only thing Trump is right about is his contempt for the media. He’s right for the wrong reasons, but he’s still right.
I’d feel nothing if many “journalists” were lined up and shot other than a vague sense they had it coming.
Barely a blip in the news. 🦗from the New York Times editorial and opinion pages. Compare with days of Hunter Biden Hysteria about unprecedented abuse of the pardon power.

It would unironically be a good idea to rebrand “The Humanities” as “Metacognition Studies” or something similar
This is exactly what I’m talking about when I’m talking about bad tech criticism. I think AI in education is a fucking disaster, and it is bad on basically every level for educational outcomes. I also think that a lot of critique of AI in pedagogy is basically worthless.

STEM and humanities are companions and fellow travelers. The MBAs are the enemy.
here's a hot for Bluesky take: a lot of tech-criticism is so bad and focused on a kind of stupid imagined STEM-humanities culture war that some companies have been able to build whole brands around being "evil tech bros 😈" making supervillain promises despite their shit being vaporware

The media's sole abiding ethos was "Trump is the eternal widdle birthday boy". It's not that they held him to no standards, but that they constantly let him define the standards on a rolling basis. B/cto the media, Trump is The Most Interesting Man In The World and nothing would budge them from that

This is coward shit. Or wishcasting. We can choose who we elect. We can elect people who will make the people responsible pay. I will vote for people that promise to make them pay over people that do not make those promises.
If we should remain a democracy three or seven year hence, our success will be used to discredit us: If democracy survives, then that is proof that it was never under threat in the first place.

One thing I really want to do for my oldest for Christmas is run some D&D games with him, but it's a challenge to get friends over to play.

Does anybody know any good home-brew adventures that are meant to be run 1 on 1? DM & Single Player? I'm looking for recommendations.

I got my MFA, essentially, in educational game design back in the early 2000’s. I’m pretty convinced this guy is right and I’m glad I’m not in the field anymore.
