I'm someone who's generally a "rising tide lifts all boats" and I'm usually not overly concerned about wealth inequality from a material aspect of everyone is getting richer.
But wealth inequality really is a social issue and it breaks people's brains. It's the strongest reason for me to be against

I have immense respect for indigenous cultures. However, it is deeply impractical to feed 8+ billion people sustainably and reliably without high-tech industrial agriculture.
Ultimately, this is just reactionary, conservative pastoralism wrapped in leftist framing.

In this Megan McArdle clip from The Dispatch, it seems her and other libertarians takeaway is that we should just limit how much the federal govt can do. While I'm sympathetic to the idea, I don't think it's really the answer.

Zero-sum economic thinking is key to fascism as well. The difference is that fascists start from zero-sum economic thinking and conclude they should be the one stealing from everyone, whereas lefties conclude no one should ever be allowed to make a profit. No good either way
