I've only seen #Vancouver weather alerts to open city's Extreme Weather Response (EWR) shelters. EWR activations are paid by province. Unaware of any activations this winter of city's own warming centres - not even during -4°C. Am I wrong or am I seeing stealth budget cuts by Ken Sim's ABC council?

vancouver planning in the 21st century is developers and the city patting themselves on the back for a sustainable mixed-used community that pays homage to the industrial past while using modern best practices where a two bedroom condo costs a million dollars and there are no schools

Just heard the news story. The reporter read out the old tweet verbatim without providing *any* context. Not-online listeners are going to assume the worst. It's journalistic malpractice.
