I've been looking at this dump for a hot minute, but as a card carrying journalist you can piece together a story better than I can.

the *treasure trove* looks like imessage chats between Epstein and others.

Forget about emails or all the docs sent around. Get a technical person, show them this

This is cool. COURIER has created a searchable database with all 20,000 of the files just released from Epstein’s estate.

Trump's name appears in them more than anyone else, in 1,628 documents.

HOLY SHIT. They found the genes for fibromyalgia - and it's *not* autoimmune, it's the central nervous system. It's very cool to see some progress made on the thing that's ruined my life since late teenage years!
Medical Republic: 'Fibromyalgia finally gets a genetic fingerprint'

'Additionally, certain risk loci overlapped with long covid (BPTF) and ME/CFS (OLFM4, RABGAP1L/GPR52), two poorly characterised disorders, albeit with different lead variants.'

Thinking today how homelessness runs through this story, through Epstein's (Virginia Guiffre had been homeless before meeting him), and even through Gaiman's (his nanny was sleeping on the beach when Palmer recruited her, and he used threats of homelessness against another victim).

If ICE can see everything. If Trump's private army can see everything then we must become Ninjas. The revolution won't be televised bc then evidence would be easy to gather. Stay safe. Stay smart. Build. Disrupt. Defy. Good Trouble not stupid trouble.

This must be what Noem is talking about when she says they’re risking their lives. I mean, they are, but not bc their jobs require or benefit from it, just bc they’re stoopid reckless m’f’k’rs with fascist leaders, unrestrained violent tendencies, and no oversight.
In Chicago, a woman was driving to get coffee when a DHS vehicle fleeing an angry crowd crashed into her car. Armed agents jumped out of the vehicle, yanked her door open, pulled her by the legs out of her car at gunpoint, held her incommunicado for hours, then released her with no charges.

The fact these local statutes predate this federal action, and the fact that others are prosecuted under them, both tend to preclude the arguments for federal supremacy and qualified immunity and support the 10A case for local police powers. It’s a fight we have to have, mostly bc they started it.

Bc there is no federal authority that authorizes kidnapping, or assault, or false arrest, or deprivation of rights under color of authority, or hate crimes, or any of it, and there’s no colorable claim that some of this stuff isn’t one or more of those things.

This is 100% criminal. There is no federal supremacy or qualified immunity issue. There also, so far, is no local prosecution. LocalGov needs to exhibit courage and do its job to charge, arrest, and prosecute these criminals, to defend the community from violence. That’s the only way this ends.

I looked it up once. SNAP takes 2% of the US budget and 93% of the money goes to the actual poor people instead of to the bureaucracy. So it's kind of like if you paid $1000 in taxes, you spent $20 on the poor of which they got to keep $18.60, and you spent $166.66 on the military.
SNAP is probably the most effective federal dollar we spend in terms of long term domestic economic outcomes.

that isn’t why you should support it; you should support it because it is a moral imperative to feed the hungry.

but it’s why even a growth-oriented ghoul shouldn’t oppose it.
