Feel very mixed on studio 4c's take on All You Need Is Kill.
Cool fight scenes, but these were overwhelmingly in the middle third of the film so the conclusion felt pedestrian.
Interesting idea to shift the timeline/ setting but at the cost of "solving" the threat and robbing it of the cosmic horror

Thats Chao watched! Loved the animation and especially the designs but holy cow the main character is unforgivable.
The story gives him a huge pass for being an absolute git and it drags the film down into davey jones locker

I love that we imagine these austere, timeless representations of ancient statues, and they were all originally painted with vibrant colors you might see on a modern lawn ornament, but the pigments faded/flaked away.

LRT: last time I had a full on job hunt was in 2022, where being full or majority remote was common. Job hunting now is not only more aggravating overall but a lot of companies are in the process of actively discipling their workforce by demanding more time in-office

hey remember how that one big tech ceo was on a panel in like 2021/22 where someone asked him about how remote work gave a lot more power to the workers and he chuckled and said “yeah well a little recession will take care of that”

Just fucking insane to see the absolute (intentional) collapse of full remote jobs available for AAA studios in so short a time. Why would I EVER move for a job again when I could be laid off weeks after moving my entire life across the globe??

Finally caught the Chainsaw Man Reze film- certainly an improvement on the tv series but still felt too restrained. The soundtrack was a highlight!
