Thats wild! Would be interested in seeing any notes the instructions have about the parts to glue.
My main fear is that some plastic glues melt the two contacted surfaces to bond them and if that is not the intention it can look awful!

Does it come with the glue? I would hope so! If not does it recommend a particular glue to use?
