8 years ago my daughter was bitten by a copperhead. She received excellent care from the medical toxicologist at a local hospital and bounced back quickly. So, after the initial fear and worry was passed, learning about and observing the medical care was totally cool!

Inclusive sex education acknowledges the existence of all identities, cis, trans, and intersex/children with differences of sex development. It’s practical and shouldn’t be political.
7 Oct 2025 - CA Gov Newsom, still moving right on trans issues, vetoes a measure attacked by Reps as "gender ideology" that would have allowed teaching that reproductive anatomy does not necessarily determine a person’s gender @rikiwilchins.bsky.social.

Using LLMs in this context essentially guarantees that existing biases are maintained and reflected consistently. There’s no longer a way to seek out a “good doctor” if they’re all flattened into using the same poisoned data sets. There is no argument in favor of the ethics of any of this.
The findings “suggest that medical AI tools powered by LLMs have a tendency to not reflect the severity of symptoms among female patients, while also displaying less ‘empathy’ towards Black and Asian ones.”

"Can they truly be so ignorant to the words of a man they have so rushed to memorialize? I don’t know. But the most telling detail in Klein’s column was that, for all his praise, there was not a single word in the piece from Kirk himself."

The big problem is that a large swath of America had never heard of Kirk until yesterday. Every piece in major media about him is an introduction for many, and so conferring the sense of sainthood on him in the long run creates permission for the dangerous response I fear is coming.

One of the first things you learn about trans competent primary care is how many of us routinely develop PVD, UTIs, and kidney stones from avoiding or not having access to bathrooms. As a fun bonus, the disinfo machine then uses this high prevalence to make mendacious claims about HRT.
If you cannot go to the bathroom at work, you cannot go to work. If you cannot go to the bathroom at school, you cannot go to school. This effectively bans transgender people from a broad swath of public life in the UK
🚨 BREAKING | Labour is set to impose a sweeping ban on trans people using any "single-sex space".

In EHRC guidance that Labour is set to approve, trans people will be barred from accessing toilets, gyms and changing rooms that match their gender.

This violates R.I. Gen. Laws § 11‑24‑2.3 on its face which provides protections for gender identity in public accommodations in Rhode Island.

Brown University is openly admitting it will brazenly violate Rhode Island state law. I expect lawsuits will follow.
Brown University is caving to Trump.

They are banning trans women from female bathrooms, dorms, locker rooms, and sports across campus. They're also cracking down on trans care for minors, though that is unlikely to be broadly impactful since it's a university.

The "misinformation" in question here is that gender-affirming care reduces suicides among youth. It merely reduces depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal ideation.
