In the year 2025, WordPress site migrations should not still be as terrible as they are.

I don't want to brag or anything, but I can run a valid tar command on the first try.

Turns out that I'm the weirdo who writes Docker Compose and Terraform in his spare time for fun.

The worst congestion, though, is north of around 4100 S. You'd think that would be the priority.
INBOX: Utah's Department of Transportation announces public meetings, public comment for next phase of Mountain View Corridor (basically expansion into a freeway). Here's the details... #utpol #Utah

Be VERY careful when upgrading from OPNsense 25.1 to 25.7. It nuked AdGuard Home (installed from a community repo) which required full reconfiguration, and it blew up Tailscale which required a new auth key to connect.

This kind of thing seems to keep on happening in Sim Gill's office with high-profile cases. We really should be asking why. #utpol

Everyone is nostolgic for old versions of Windows until you spin one up in a VM and realize that the old experience kind of sucks.

I love how Europeans make fun of Americans and food but then someone in a small town Facebook group will be like "anyone know where I can get <insert obscure food/ingredient here>" and there's like a half dozen people saying "oh yeah, here's my top 3".

Google Voice ain't dead. They're trying to pitch regular users like me on paying for premium features. My wishlist would include actual RCS support and letting me drag-and-drop pictures/videos on desktop.

This isn't John taking a principled stand. This is John putting his finger in the wind. He knows the files are coming out one way or another, and letting this sink Trump instead of him doing any hard work like impeachment is a low-risk proposition. #utpol

I bought an ancient analog TV tuner USB stick so I could test out some retro consoles I got a good deal on (Atari 2600 and Intellivision). Naturally, the drivers are janktacular on Win11, but it works okay-ish when passing through to a Win7 VM.

Plenty of Dems throwing their hats in the ring for the new CD1 right now, but I don't see any of them saying "everyone in the Trump administration should be in prison for the many laws they have repeatedly broken". Closest I can see is Ben McAdams pointing out he voted for impeachment. #utpol

Seems kind of obvious to release ZomBond as a Halloween movie to solve the whole mess, doesn't it?

*taps the sign*

Capping districts at 100K would make the congressional map look similar to the state senate map. I think that would be much better for the state. #utpol
Triple the number of senators (each state elects two every two years) and cap House district sizes at 100K. This makes it harder to lobby, chamber leadership can't keep everyone in line, and you'll get more opportunities for third party/independent candidates.
Alright, Bluesky - seems pretty obvious that the US Constitution is no longer fit for purpose.

You're in charge of amending it. What do you propose?

One of the most annoying things on Discord is when a spammer hits every channel, gets banned, and you're left to clean up all of the new message notifications.

I know memes closer to the fall of the Berlin Wall than to I Can Haz Cheezburger and I think I should make an appointment for my own funeral now.
The difference in time between now and I can has cheezburger

Is the same between I can has Cheezburger and the Berlin Wall falling

Turns out that if you're using a S3-compatible storage endpoint with a Cloudflare Logpush job in Terraform, you don't need to do any encoding of your AWS secret even if it includes special characters like /. This is, naturally, an undocumented "feature".
