I was talking to VERY normie friends today and they were more than happy to 1) mock Trump and 2) say it was reasonable for the entirety of the administration to go to prison, unprompted.

Candidates, you can run on that and win.

I really really REALLY dislike this whole "compiling shaders" business.

Scrubs, and we don't talk about that "Med School" disaster. This is why I have very low expectations of this revival business.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

Turns out you can connect a Bluetooth game controller to your phone and play a lot of Game Pass games in your mobile browser and it works decently.

I work really hard to talk about non-politics things because there is a lot of joy in the world and that really irritates fascists when they can't live in your brain 24x7x365.
i think this site really needs to figure out how to grow the non-politics verticals (the baseball moment was a good thing!) because i suspect a lot of the bad clusters come out of the political clusters driving 95% of ENG-lang posts
I'd be happy with big non politics accounts.

What, looting our country wasn't enough? Now we will kidnap a head of state to loot it too? The execs have to know that eventually the power will swing and so will they.
And there ya have it…

Officials from top Wall Street firms will be traveling to Venezuela to investigate “investment prospects” of the country. “The trip will feature about 20 officials from the finance, energy and defense sectors.”

This is the only issue that matters because without it we can't even fight about anything else.
At this point, if a Democratic presidential candidate wants my vote, their platform has to - at bare minimum - include some version of "I am going to put all these freaks in prison for their crimes." Full stop. No compromise. I am now a single issue voter for the dark woke prison camps.

If you're wondering why much of American "Christianity" hates Latter-day Saints, it's because we're deeply universalist and that really rubs them the wrong way.
Turns out that if you come from a tradition where you are perfectly comfortable believing in a deity that would condemn 99% of the world's historical population to hell for eternity because they weren't baptized Protestants, you are probably a lot more likely to be a bigot.
I managed to largely avoid this guy but I remember him having a Very Specific interpretation of Lutheranism and that’s usually a good tell.

People that believe “everyone outside my very specific tradition are all going to hell” are just thinly masked Hitler particles.

Made a top tier sandwich with some leftover leg of lamb. Sauteed up some thin-sliced onions, thin sliced the meat, and topped it off with a cheddar cheese sauce on a hoagie roll.

I generally won't order anything at a restauratnt that I can and do make at home, mostly for this reason.

(PS Use more butter, use more salt. No, more. More than that. Make Paula Deen weep you coward.)
Once again the problem with being really good at cooking is that it’s a chore to eat other, lesser cooking

Cartels are probably a little hesitant to target a fedgov employee and a lot more willing to target some private citizen cosplaying the meme version of Chuck Norris. The latter probably hasn't thought about that risk model and getting murdered in your own home by angry coke distributors.

In hindsight, I should have expected R. Mitty to say it because he's a numbers guy and the numbers just don't work unless you increase tax rates on the highest income brackets.

Longer than it takes to prevent 90% of them from going insolvent.
Dunno how accurate this is, but it says we’ve invested far less in AI infra, even with the next 3 years included, than cellular infra. How long until everyone is willing to pay as much per month for AI as for their phone subscription?

Never forget that Paul Cozzens had his fingerprints all over the money including early 2024 at the height of the fraud. That money should be followed. #utpol

Looking at details of Leo and comparing to Starlink.

- Much higher power use (1.5-2x)
- Higher bands requiring cleaner LoS, fewer birds to compensate

Gonna have to see what pricing looks like. builder.aws.com/content/36fv...
