Until I tried it just now, I didn't realize that this site doesn't let you remove followers! The only way to get someone off your page is to permanently block them (and even unblocking adds them back), so that makes the block notification system an even worse thing on here

Yep. The world just has more books than it can use. Once I learned that libraries regularly burned books just for inventory reasons, I stopped caring about anyone else burning them for non-ideological reasons.

Its so weird cadence owens seems to be the only person that was close to Charlie Kirk that genuinely liked him
Candace Owens released leaked audio from Turning Point USA in which Erika Kirk is heard giggling and cheerfully discussing attendance figures, merchandise sales, and performance metrics from Charlie Kirk’s memorial event just 11 days after his death...

The year is 2126 - test-tube meat automatons are being controlled remotely by neurally linked NFL players, giving the exact feeling and motion as a real human body on the field, and social media is pissed off that the concussions aren't real anymore as they have to watch Tofu Safetyslop

I've been thinking lately about how Sonic is just so fundamentally let down by the medium of a 3D game - wouldn't it be nice if studios let AAA games be 2D again? You see huge successes like Sonic Mania and Silksong from small developers, yet you keep cranking out Unity garbage forever and ever...

I fucking swear, if this admin makes me stop being a Philip Glass hater
Breaking news: Composer Philip Glass withdrew his highly anticipated Symphony No. 15 from its scheduled Kennedy Center performance, saying “the values of the Kennedy Center today are in direct conflict with the message of the Symphony.”

Q: Is Kristi Noem going to step down?

It seems like there was some sort of backroom/group-chat consensus this morning to make Noem the public fall guy for Minneapolis. They understand they're losing and are desperate for a "narrative change"
“.. If the Trump administration wants the public to support its immigration enforcement actions .., it needs to speak honestly about events. Kristi Noem has repeatedly demonstrated that she is incapable of that.”

As Eli notes in the follow-up posts, last year Trump fired all the Biden appointees from the board of the US Holocaust Museum and replaced them with a bunch of Trump toadies. It's really gross that the org is throwing a fit like this. It's so obviously political.

Something great about 2017 that we're largely missing today was the weekly firings in the Trump administration, so Bovino getting canned makes me nostalgic and also very excited for this to continue in earnest once more

JD Vance hinted last week that the Trump administration wants to officially stop funding family planning abroad.

Not only would that be devastating globally—but would mark another key step in attacking contraception here in the U.S.

From the minority in both chambers, having the asks be targeted like this, and something no reasonable person could object to *and also* something republicans will likely scream their heads off objecting to, is the move IMO.
NEWS from inside the Senate Dem meeting tonight:
1-Schumer has the votes to block the DHS funding bill
2-They're going to ask for real investigations into the murders (including an end to impeding the state/local investigations), an end to masks and arrest quotas.

They are grabbing and bursting testicles.

That’s sexual assault.

We already know women detainees have been raped, assaulted and in some cases sterilized.

This is sick stuff. They want to inflict maximum pain.

They’re abusers drunk on power.

CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

But this is how Border Patrol in particular has behaved, continuously. They threaten and brutalize people at the slightest provocation. They troop around like an invading army, not a force that is supposed to protect us. When you see it, it’s so clear: they’re the conquerors, we’re the enemy.
