Oh shit. The local ice cream truck, that normally played standard nursery rhyme tunes and public domain Christmas songs... just played the theme song of a certain Italian plumber from a certain notoriously litigious Japanese company.

So much for his livelihood.

Makes me wonder if there even *are* any professional hit men in America. Maybe they're fictional creatures, like leprechauns or unicorns, and the FBI just uses their legend to catch violent dumbasses.

What do we say, friends? All together now:

I don't care how good of a point you're about to make. If you're going to make it by talking to yourself in a TikTok, I've already tuned out.

I don't know why this format continues to proliferate. Don't y'all have even one friend you can get to talk to you on film?

As an attorney, can you ethically advise a client to appear at a green card appointment in person under these current conditions?

When the government refuses to obey the law, the government encourages people to refuse to obey government orders.

It’s pretty simple.

When you do a huge armed midnight raid on an apartment building rounding up and terrorizing children and later find out there were no criminals there everyone involved resigns in shame and we have loud showy Congressional hearings.

i can’t talk about sports gambling anymore without sounding like a crank but i do believe legalized sports gambling is like 15-20% responsible for our current dystopia
The Athletic polled hundreds of players from across the NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL about their opinions surrounding how sports betting impacts players — the responses were haunting.

Merrick Garland left a standing impression that no one powerful will ever be held accountable. Democrats should rectify that by saying, loudly and every hour, that people who act on illegal orders will face punishment by the next DOJ.
Dems can say: Are you really sure you want to trust Trump, of all people, when he tells you that what he’s directing you to do is lawful, and that you’ll be protected later as a result? That’s a tenuous position for anyone to put themselves into—and Dems should not hesitate to say so.
Awful: Trump's boat bombings are now being justified by a new legal memo that relies on WH's own determinations as evidence. Memo also says people can't be prosecuted for the killings. But that reveals WH knows there's legal vulnerability here, Ds tell me.

Many high-end programmers don't properly document their code.

Low-end programmers almost never do.

So when you find terrible code with extensive-but-mostly-useless comments... that's how you know somebody used AI to write it.

'Matt Gaetz Raped A Homeless Teenager' is what you mean.

A teenager with a homeless parent? What? The fuck? Did she have a home and not allow her parent to live in it? Ended up having sex with? What? Yeah clearly you guys been caping for pedos long enough and you understand the assignment here
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

Is it just me? I feel like, when I was a kid, people typically started getting noticeably gray hair around their early 50s.

These days, though, it seems more common in folks' late 30s.

Poll numbers are collapsing, so it's time for Trump to invade Poland.

No, wait, I mean Venezuela, not Poland. Not sure how I got those two mixed up.

Yup. We need to brace ourselves for "pedophilia isn't so bad after all" arguments from the right. They've found ways to rationalize all his other sins...
I don't think we should assume it will end the trump presidency at all.

again, trump was literally held liable for sexual assault. he boasted on tap about sexually assaulting women. he has been accused by dozens of women of harassment, abuse, and rape. 1
At this point we have to assume that if the Epstein files are released they will
- end the Trump Presidency
- implicate many other prominent Republicans
- destroy the careers of AG Bondi and his other defenders
This is beginning to feel like the greatest scandal in American history.

when I've talked about the concept of "vice signaling," that's a key part. the idea that everyone is secretly racist/a rapist/evil, and pretending otherwise is just a mask.
Gonna be something to behold as we realize like 40% of the country thinks 50 year old men raping 15 year olds is actually nbd and “something most men want even if they don’t say it”

In Bovino's upside down world, there is no difference between an armed gang member preying on others in his community and a guy working 12 hours a day washing cars, flipping burgers, or installing sheetrock to feed his family — and he wants you to hate and fear both men equally.
Bovino: "Whether they were criminals or individuals that were taking jobs from Americans -- you name it, that's what they were doing. And I'll tell you what's gonna happen. We're gonna go even harder on the streets. If he releases those 650, we're gonna apprehend 1,650 on the streets of Chicago."

I primarily use Facebook to try to get the truth through to my right-wing family.

However, every once in a while, I browse. And today, I noticed a pattern of random blue-coded people I never heard of before showing up on my feed to say how it was actually a good thing Democrats folded.

This is one of the reasons I said the Cave Caucus should have held out for at least a week, to make it clear Trump was unlawfully starving people.
As predicted in lots of places, including this morning's "One First," the extra 48 hours that the full Court bought for itself on Tuesday (by overriding Justice Jackson and extending her "administrative stay") was enough time for Congress to moot the SNAP case:
