Apparently the government of the Yucatán recently erected a Poseidon statue on one of their major beaches. It’s a very heavily Mayan area, where people still pray to Chaac, the god of rainfall.
They’re now being slammed with 3 hurricanes and significant flooding, leading to memes like this

Went to do the post Christmas tip run and found an old box in one of the skips that is definitely not haunted. It was also full of photographs that are definitely not cursed.
The box says it would like to be taken home and kept in the bedroom, which seems like a great idea to me, let's do it

Reviewers and Beta readers who have read my mythological retelling in its entirety have really enjoyed it. The problem is that the opening is too ‘soft’ to grab agents. I’m not a huge fan of in media res but I’m looking for tips and tricks to make it more appealing? TIA for advice ❤️ #writing #writer
