Gustopher presents a list of locations you can read Gator Days. The list includes Reddit, Bluesky, Instagram, Threads, and Tumblr. Twitter/X is at the bottom of the list but has been crossed out. Mewbert: Mew? (possibly meaning "What a fantastic list, but what if I wish to support the creator of this comic through financial contributions? August's father. Transcript Panel 1 August's dad, Fergus, has stopped by to drop off a gift and apologize for something that happened in August's childhood. Fergus is not the best as expressing his feelings so he's doing his best to speak carefully and honestly. August has made some coffee. He hands a mug to his dad that says "MUG" while August holds one for himself that says "SON of MUG". August is secretly delighted at the opportunity to use these mugs. Fergus: I didn't mean to get emotional. I'm sorry. Panel 2 Fergus just flat out says what he came to say. Fergus: I remembered that time I burned your toys. You didn't deserve that. Panel 3 Fergus looks away for a moment. He wants to make sure he apologizes without making excuses for himself like his own father used to. Fergus: I should have been a better dad to you and your sisters. I'm sorry that I was so hurtful and angry. Panel 4 Fergus: Being someone's parent is hard. Being someone's kid shouldn't be.

Saying Sorry (Part 1/4) - Gator Days Characters Fergus - Alligator - A grandpa who has been chewed up by the world but is doing his best. August's father. May - Alligator - A grandma who loves being a grandma. August's mother. Transcript Panel 1 Fergus and May are at the thrift store. Fergus is looking at a shelf with toys when he notices something familiar. It's a cowboy bear plush that's only $5 and missing an eye. It's leaning again a ball that's labelled "BALL 2" that's $30. It's the sequel to ball. There's also a puzzle that says "PUZZLE! 10,000 piece!" that's $3. Don't worry, there's not that many pieces. Eight are missing. Fergus: MAY! Look at this. Robin - Gator Days Characters Stuart - Quokka - Sectional Manager. He almost always has a massive smile plastered on his face. Robin - Wolf - He's exhausted and wants to go home. Transcript Panel 1 Robin is working hard when his boss comes to his desk to talk to him about something. Stuart is doing that thing where he says "knock knock" when he has already opened the door he could have actually knocked on. Stuart: Knock knock! Got a minute, Rob? Robin: Yeah... And it's Robin. Robin does not like correcting people about his name but tries to do so immediately before things get out of hand. Panel 2 Stuart is perplexed. Robin looks much more like a Rob to him. Stuart: Really? You look more like a Rob. Robin: I've always gone by Robin. Behind Robin is a picture of his mom and himself when he was younger. A lot of people assume that it's a wife and kid which is another assumption that Robin tries to correct. Robin finds the office exhausting. Panel 3 Stuart: That's great! Stuart says this with a triumphant pose and tone. He is ready to move on from this conversation. Panel 4 Stuart: So Rob, we got some new numbers and I'll need you to- Robin briefly contemplates how much he needs this job. Stuart has pulled out his phone that has the new numbers. It says "67 = $?"

Forest Relic 2: Crafting Update - Gator Days Panel 1 Gustopher has found something amazing in the woods. It's a stick! Sticks are cool. He runs to show it to Hannah. Gustopher: HANNAH! Check of this stick! Panel 2 Hannah does agree that the stick is admirable but she is not one to be outdone. She has also found something interesting in the woods. Hannah: Yeah, that's cool. But is it cooler than this rock? She holds up a smooth oval shaped rock. It's one of those ones that would be amazing for skipping but you won't want to do it because it's so good. There's parts that sparkle in the sunlight. Rocks are cool. Gustopher: Let Liam decide! Panel 3 Liam is sitting on a stump and checking out the neat stick and rock that he has been asked to judge. next to him is a little bit of string. Foreshadowing is a literary device. This stick and rock are pretty sweet. Liam: They're both cool. But what if... Panel 4 Liam has read the wiki and knows the ancient art of crafting. He has tied the rock to the top of the stick which has increased the coolness factor and improves the stick's bludgeoning stats while providing +3 INT. Everyone is impressed. Hannah: Whoa! Liam: Magic staff. Gustopher: THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

IT Dance - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 August is at the office and looking at a computer that's being difficult. It can't seem to connect to the network. The screen says "ERROR No connection So alone". Poor computer. August tried the usual fixes but the problem isn't obvious. He's begun searching for answers on his phone with a search engine called "searchle". August: This might take a while to fix. Robin: Okay, let me know when it's- Panel 2 Robin has noticed that August is searching online for solutions. Why did he even bring IT into this when he could have done that himself? Robin: Wait, you're just looking up how to fix it on your phone! I could have done that. August: You still can do that. Panel 3 Robin looks to the side and contemplates the situation. August wouldn't mind being able to skip this task but is also aware not everyone knows the right thing to search for and he will probably still have to do it in the end. Panel 4 Robin has decided to stop questioning things and take this as an opportunity to get some coffee. This moment is a gift. August is unbothered, he would probably do the same thing. Robin: I'm going to get some coffee. You want anything? August: No thanks.

Hopefully this will be a civil discussion. Hannah: It's called soda! Everyone calls it soda! Douglas: It's pop! Panel 2 This debate is going nowhere. Hannah decides that it is time to bring in an impartial opinion so they can settle this matter once and for all. Hannah: Let's get another opinion. Douglas: Fine. Panel 3 Hannah and Douglas have found an innocent Gustopher who is only trying to eat his lunch. He is not prepared for the mess that he's about to be dragged into. Hannah: GUSTOPHER! What are sweetened fizzy drinks called? Panel 4 Gustopher: Soda Pop. Hannah: WHAT!? Douglas: NO! Unfortunately, this is the second worst thing he could have said. Rainy Day - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 Gustopher and Olivia are at school and it's recess. Sadly, it's raining so no one is bothering to go outside. The two watch the rain through the window and voice their rainy day lamentation. Gustopher: Man... It's raining. Olivia: Boring. Panel 2 Hannah and Liam have come to watch the rain through the window as well. The four stand silently and watch the outside world grow ever wetter. Panel 3 Douglas and two other classmates have joined the quartet and they are all watching the rain together. Olivia sips from her juice box. Liam is imagining a bard being swept up by the wind and flying through the air. Panel 4 Miss Horsehill is concerned about her classroom's lack of noise and comes over to see what everyone is up to. Titan, the dog, is standing there with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. He is a good boy. Mrs. Woolly: Titan, Hannah brought a friend to meet you. Gustopher: DOGGY! Panel 2 Gustopher sits down on a couch to hold and pet Titan. Titan appreciates this a lot and is very comfortable. He is a very good boy. Gustopher: HE LIKES ME! HE'S SO COOL! HE'S THE BEST! Panel 3 Titan starts to drift off to sleep in Gustopher's lap. Gustopher continues petting but suddenly gets a sad feeling. Titan starts making sleepy dog sounds. Titan is a very very good boy. Gustopher: He's- I- Panel 4 Gustopher turns to Hannah to express his sorrow in this moment. Gustopher: I'm sad that I'll eventually have to go. Hannah: That happens to me too. Titan is unbothered about his new friend having to leave eventually. Titan appreciates the moment and will enjoy Gustopher's company to the fullest while it lasts. Titan is a very very very good boy.

He can't seem to tell where it's coming from but Hannah knows what it is immediately. Gustopher: Do you hear a bell? Hannah: Oh, that's me. Panel 2 Hannah starts to fish the bell out of her pocket. Hannah: The dog I walk is blind. I carry a bell so he knows where I am. Panel 3 Hannah turns to show the Bell to Gustopher but something seems to be wrong. Hannah: I accidentally left it in my- Are you okay? Panel 4 Gustopher is not okay. Hannah knows a dog and she hasn't introduced this dog to Gustopher? How could she do this? He thought they were friends. This is in his top ten anime betrayals. He would definitely introduce all his friends to a dog if I he had one to introduce them to. Gustopher: YOU KNOW A DOG AND DIDN'T TELL ME!? Hannah has no time for these theatrics and cuts to the chase. Hannah: Want to meet him? Gustopher: YES!

Let's Try Drawing - Gator Days Panel 1 Gustopher has just noticed that his dad is drawing. This is neat. He's never seen his father draw anything before. Mewbert is there and supervising August's glass of wine. Gotta make sure that nothing happens to that wine. Gustopher: You're drawing? August: I wanted to try something new. How am I doing? Be honest? Panel 2 Gustopher picks up his father's art and involuntary grimaces at what he sees. Is that anatomy right? Arms aren't supposed to bend that way. And why are the eyes different sizes? Did he just hear the sound of a wine glass hitting the floor? That's not important right now. Panel 3 Gustopher realizes he's been silent for a while. He has to say something. He wants to be complimentary but his dad told him to be honest. If only he hadn't told him to be honest. Oh no, he's still silent. He's got to say something. What would his dad say in this situation? Panel 4 Gustopher finally speaks. Gustopher: The important thing is you're having fun. August has heard that line before. August: Oh no. August's glass of wine has also mysteriously vanished. There's a puddle of wine and a broken glass on the ground. Mewbert's paw also has wine dripping from it. Who could have done this? I guess we'll never know.

Collect Them All - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 Olivia is watching Hannah play a video game. Hannah is hanging upside down on the couch because she's just that cool. It's how the cool kids play video games. I can't play video games like that, I'm not cool enough and it would hurt my back. Olivia just noticed that Hannah did something terrible. Olivia: YOU MISSED A GEM! Hannah: I did? Panel 2 The game that Hannah is playing is a cartoony platformer with a colorful character. The character looks like he is perpetually uncomfortable. There are collectable gems and Hannah can see one near the top of the screen in the direction she just came from. Hannah: Ah, I see it. Oh well. Panel 3 Hannah does not seem to care that she has missed the gem and is continuing on. Olivia does not understand. Olivia: You're not going back to get it? Hannah: Nah, I won't lose sleep over it. Panel 4 It is now night time and Olivia is in bed and unable to sleep. How could Hannah not go back and collect the gem? Does she not like gems? It was right there? Why didn't she just grab it. What if the gem lead to a secret? What if there's something special that happens when you get all the gems? Olivia will remember this.

Forest Relic - Gator Days Panel 1 A brave adventurer named Gustopher is on a journey to find a powerful relic. His face is determined, his map is ragged, and his sense of direction is pretty terrible. Adventurer Gustopher: Long have I searched these lands for a powerful relic. Panel 2 The brave adventurer has found himself in a dark forest. He unexpectedly stumbles upon the one thing he has been seeking. It glows golden, which indicates it's pretty rare. Everyone knows that rare things have a golden glow. It's physics or something. Don't ask me, I'm not a scientist. Adventurer Gustopher: Could I have finally found it lying in this dark forest? Panel 3 Our brave adventurer swings his newfound object skyward. It leaves a sparkling rainbow colored trail. Look, I don't understand the physics behind cool legendary things. I just know that they have a golden glow and leave rainbow trails. This one also makes a cool whistling sound when you swing it through the air fast enough. Adventurer Gustopher: With one swing, I knew I found a real treasure. Panel 4 In reality, Gustopher has been out on a hike with his dad and found a cool stick. It's got a single leaf still attached to it and does indeed make neat sounds when you swing it fast enough. Gustopher: DAD! Look at this cool stick!

Happy New Year - Gator Days
Panel 1 Gustopher and Olivia are excited for New Year's Eve. Gustopher: My dad said I can stay up for New Year's Eve! Olivia: My mom said I can too! Panel 2 Gustopher holds up a bowl of chips that come in various colors. They're the best chips you will ever eat but you will never see them in a store. The only time you will ever find them are at one out of every seven parties you go to and you will never know who brought them. Gustopher: I'm going to try all the snacks! Olivia: I'm going to shout louder than anyone! Panel 3 Gustopher and Olivia: THIS WILL BE THE BEST NIGHT EVER! Panel 4 Time has passed and Gustopher and Olivia have passed out from exhaustion. They have spent all their energy being excited for New Year's Eve that they didn't save any to actually stay awake. Their parents have wrapped them in blankets to make sure they're extra cozy. Ember has snuck onto the couch between them and is digging through the snack bowl. The Adults: THREE... TWO... ONE... HAPPY NEW YEAR! Ember: My snack! Ember proceeds to eat what remains of the snacks and stays up for an additional three hours.

Bolero's New Sweater - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 Bolero has received a new sweater for Christmas! It seems to be a few sizes too big. He can't even fit his arms through the sleeves. His mom isn't too worried. Tammy: Looks like your new sweater is too big. Panel 2 Bolero lifts an arm and watches the rest of the sleeve be pulled down by gravity. Tammy: You'll just have to grow into it. Panel 3 Bolero begins to lift the back of the neckline of the sweater upward. Tammy: You can take it off. Panel 4 Bolero has the sweater covering the back of his head and he's lifting the arms so the sleeves flop around in the air. He feels like a medieval peasant working tirelessly in the fields. Perhaps one plotting treason against the king. Bolero: I love this. Tammy: Really? Bolero: Can I wear it to school?

The Purple Door - A Gator Days Christmas Special Part Two
Pages 7-10/12
Page 7 We're standing in front of a purple door. The address seems to be 1402. This isn't a place I recognize but Gustopher seems to be more familiar with it. I notice him staring at the door solemnly. His face isn't showing much emotion but I can sense a sadness underneath it. After a brief period of silence he says, "I think this is where my mom lives." Page 8 Gustopher's sadness seems to melt away for a moment and he excitedly says to me, "Maybe Mom is waiting for me!" He lifts his hands into the air and continues, "I'll open the door and say "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" The world feels brighter and warmer for a moment. "We'll spend Christmas together and I'll tell her all about my friends and-" Gustopher's voice suddenly softens, "Maybe she won't leave." Page 9 Gustopher stares at the purple down. It seems so big and imposing in this moment. "I think about her a lot around Christmas," he continues, "I'll wonder what she's doing." "On TV, families get reunited on Christmas. But that doesn't happen to me." Gustopher sits down on the ground next to me. I can tell that there's a lot going through his head right now. Page 10 Gustopher tells me exactly how he's feeling "If she wanted to spend Christmas with me then she wouldn't have left. It bothers me more and more every year." "It hurts." I need to say something so I say it. "It's okay to feel hurt. During a time of year that's filled with so much laughter and joy, the pain in our life can hurt even more. It's okay to feel upset. I'll be there for you to help you through it." It might have just came out as a Mew but I think he understood me. I curl up in Gustopher's arms to let him know he's not alone.
