To everyone working in research & innovation!

The EDI Caucus is interested in anything related to equality, diversity & inclusion in the UK's research & innovation sector. This is found in all disciplines.
So if your work touches on EDI tag us please! There's too much out there to be searching it.
The new #EmploymentRightsBill expects organisations with more than 250 employees to have a #Menopause Action Plan.

What does that look like and what should it include? How does an organisation implement and evaluate an action plan?

Article is from the American context, but there's room for reflection in the UK context.
Are there rules about food smells which disproportionately impact food from some cultures?

Our research has brought up the issue of food smells impacting some neurodivergent people particularly. So 1/2

Lots of interesting findings. Many of them not surprising.
Apprenticeships in Scotland not nearly diverse enough - gender or race/ethnicity.
Informal methods of recruiting them perpetuates this. e.g. visiting your child's school to promote.

That thing where students are perfectly happy in group discussions but will not speak in front of the class even though you’ve said something like ‘one person from each group needs to summarise what you talked about’. Has anyone ever worked out a way to deal with it?
