common concepts; on the contrary, they are rare. People are not born knowing what these are. It takes enormous and, above all, individual effort to arrive at the respect for other people that these words imply.”

*Very* well done, FT.

The administration is doing its best to rewrite January 6. But the historical record of what really happened is not going away.
January 6 Still Happened
The Trump administration can pardon the insurrectionists and delete pages of evidence. But it cannot hide what took place on that day.

If you read one thing about January 6 today, make it this article. It’s that good.

Clear, unsentimental, incisive.

New, from me: Four years ago we lived through a pivot point. History could have gone one way, but went another.

Why was Jan. 6 not the end of Trump?

At key moments, key Republicans who knew better protected or resurrected Trump. 🧵

NEW on CNN: We uncovered that Trump's incoming-White House press secretary purged tweets from her timeline praising Pence for certifying the election on January 6 and praising Capitol police .

Just a year later she ran for Congress denying the 2020 election results.

Important story by @tatumhunter.bsky.social.

Musk’s brazen enablement of non-consensual sexualization of girls and women is not just outrageous, but without precedent. Grok’s capabilities are like a tooling factory for CSAM — and he treats it all like a big joke.

“So many in media are ill-equipped to interview officials about what’s happening because they begin with the presumption of legitimacy and don’t know enough about history or U.S. foreign policy to foment intelligent pushback and hold officials accountable…”
New — I wrote about how corporate media is immediately siding with power in the wake of Trump attacking Venezuela and capturing Maduro, and how journalists need to treat the administration as a hostile entity that’s openly lying to them.

Corporate media must recognize they're being openly lied to—and report accordingly.

I have such a visceral reaction to Stephen Miller that anytime I see him I reflexively turn away, but based on this video, I am reminded of what an unserious fucking clown he is.

The level of childish bloviation is embarrassing.

We’re talking about national sovereignty & he’s an AM talk show host.
MILLER: The US is using its military to secure our interests unapologetically in our hemisphere. We're a superpower. It's absurd we'd allow a nation in our backyard to become a supplier of resources to our adversaries

Trump’s real base of support — billionaires, Big Oil, Big Tech, crypto, defense contractors, & Wall Street — know that the midterms may limit what they and Trump can get away with moving forward.

2026 could be the last year they can cash in and loot the country.

Be warned.
