Trump signed an order that would downgrade cannabis's status within the Controlled Substance Act. This is only mildly good news (Schedule III is better than Schedule I) because cannabis should be *removed* from the CSA. I wrote about this last year: lyonsnyc.medium.com/dont-resched...

Casting a vote in a polling station is a constitutionally protected right.

Murdering people in cold blood in the street is not.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, Mr. Emmer.
Emmer: "Another reform they claim they want is they want ICE agents to identify themselves, to show identification. But they don't want identification for voters in elections. I mean, this stuff is just intellectually inconsistent."

This is totally non-standard for any publication. Every pub everywhere pretty much cleans up uhms, uhm, and vocal tics like that, which EVERYONE DOES.

This is extremely intentional.

If I was writing this I’d probably do the quote “this is of course a very longstanding policy of the United States”
Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?

Immigration has made the US economy great and it will do so again.

But we need our leaders to stand up for it. No cowardice, no poll-watching on immigration. Defend it. Praise immigrants. Americans are ready to hear it.

I don’t know one person in NJ, Republican or Democrat, who doesn’t see the power and value of the Gateway Tunnel Project.

from the perspective of someone who might want to be president, the best time to run for the white house is now, not later. so if AOC is thinking about it — if the white house is her ambition — then her best bet is to throw her hat in the ring
You Know What? Maybe the Time Is Right for an AOC Presidential Bid
She’s only 36, and there’s a good argument that she should run for Senate and bide her time. But she also could be a formidable White House candidate.
