okay but did you ever see something in a book as a kid and really want to make/eat it?

To his surprise it changed itself slowly into a sort of heap, but it smelled good. He put the last remaining cherry on the top for decoration. By this time the party invitations were dry. 'I'll deliver them tomorrow,' yawned Kipper. 'It's too late now.' A scan of a couple of pages from the children's book The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch, showing eight labelled illustrations. They are, in order: a mixed seafood salad, a lighthouse sandwich, cold chicken garni, sausages and crisps, peach surprise cake, iced sea biscuits, drinks and assorted fruit, and finally an illustration of Mrs Grinling (the lighthouse keeper's wife), accompanied by Hamish the ginger cat, loading a basket with food with the text: "She put the lunch in the basket as usual and sent it down the wire."

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

It was Mori's birthday on Sunday but he was in a cattery (I was away for a few days and my mum is still recovering from her knee operation) so we left him cards and they took this photo 😭

Important reminder
(From the Dennison's Bogie Book which I found out about through @taipeiqueen on IG)
GAY COSTUMES ARE PART OF EVERY HALLOWEEN PARTY WEIRD designs and bright orange in contrast with black make it possible to create very striking costumes for the Hal-lowe'en party with very little work. Many crepe paper costumes are made over a muslin foundation to which the paper is sewed or pasted as seems best. For this kind of costume regular dress patterns may be used but they are not often necessary. The paper may be sewed by hand or on the sewing machine. The slip-over costume is a style that is very popular for an informal party. It is what its name implies, and is worn over any simple frock.

I'm not sure if this is a generational thing, but my mother seems unable to conceive of the idea that you can both listen to music and be doing something else at the same time - e.g. if I put on music before going/taking her somewhere she will yell upstairs (or text!): "Are you getting ready?!"
