I was never one of those "read the manual on the drive home kids" and preferred to figure things out the hard way, but damn modern gaming losing manuals really lost an underrated piece of the artform. It's like the popcorn that goes with a movie. You don't NEED it but it's a great addition when good
I saw some (weirdly heated) discussion on X about whether or not video game manuals have value.
Even though I was/am fine with figuring out games, I still appreciate manuals.
I like the images in Super Mario Bros. 2's and 3's showcasing all the stuff Mario can do, even with only two action buttons.

Seriously though it's kinda wild that really all Kiwami 3 had to do was have better character models and make enemies not block as much and instead they decided to offend everyone and mutilate it into some ugly bullshit that nobody likes, including the people who defended 3's existence for years
